After a long drive and a pit-stop, Emma finally passes a sign that says 'Welcome to Pinny'. Emma follows her GPS and it passes her through the middle of town. It was a nice little town and everyone looked really nice. She thought, Graham must have had a nice childhood living in his little town. Her GPS finally lead her to a small house. She parked her car and then looked at the time. The car clock read 9:00am. She was right on time. She stepped out of her car and walked up to the front porch of the small house. She lightly knocked on the door and a small woman answered. She had short light brown hair, brown eyes, and a couple of wrinkles. Emma thought, She is beautiful for her age. That's probably why Graham was so handsome.
"Hello" the lady said, Emma presumed was Lacy.
"Hello, it's Emma Swan." Emma said with a bright smile on her face.
The lady suddenly perked up and had a big smile.
"Emma! I'm Lacy Humbert. Come in, come in." Lacy said eagerly. Emma walked in the beautiful house. Lacy motioned for Emma to sit down in the living room on a couch and Emma sat. "I'll be back. I'm going to get a notepad and pencil. Also, do you want some coffee?"
"That would be amazing. Thank you." Emma said realizing that she hasn't had coffee in forever.
While Lacy was gone Emma looked around the living room. It was a beautifully decorated house. All of the colors fit together and there wasn't too much decor. Emma focused her eyes on a picture of Graham when he was just around 5, or at least that's what she thought. He was so little. So cute. So gentle. He didn't deserve to be killed by a criminal. He deserved to live a long happy life.
"Emma" Lacy said.
Emma realized that she was up from her seat and holding the picture in her hands. She quickly put the picture back and took her seat on a chair.
"Sorry" Emma said.
"It's fine. Okay, David told me you were really close to Graham, but he never told me how?"
"Ummm, ya. He was the Sheriff and so was I. There was two Sheriff's. I know it sounds weird but that was how it was. Anyway, we were also dating." Emma said fighting back the tears.
Lacy shook her head and said, "Okay, so what are we doing for his funeral?"
"Well, the only funeral home in Storybrooke is 'Frank's Funeral Home'. So we are going to have to have it there."
"Okay" Lacy said as she wrote down stuff on her paper. "I wanted to make his funeral nice and quiet and not like other peoples. Like other people have themes and I hate that."
"Okay, so no themes."
"No themes." Lacy said.
"There is a florist named 'Angela's Bud's' in Storybrooke." Emma said remembering flowers. Lacy wrote down more stuff on her notepad. "When should it be?"
"It should be in about 2 weeks." Lacy said.
"What about May 12th?" Emma asked.
"That would be good. Is it on a Saturday?"
"Ya, what time should it be?"
"Well, I was thinking that the viewing should be at 9:00am. Then the ceremony should be at 9:30am. Then the burial should be at 1:00pm."
"That would be good. I'll go over to the funeral home and florist and talk to them about it." Emma said. Lacy finished writing down stuff on her notepad and the looked up at Emma. Emma saw one tear come down Lacy's face. Emma walked over to the couch and sat next to Lacy. "It's okay."
"I know. It's just...He's gone." Lacy said fighting back tears.
"I know." Emma said looking down at the ground. She realized she was crying when a tear fell on the carpet of the living room. She held her head up and wiped some of her tears away. "I've had a very hard time with Graham's death, too."
Lacy looked up at her and said, "I'm sure."
Emma let out a sigh and started to tell her about what happened.
"Here's the real story of what happened. We were in my apartment when he saw he got a missed call from one of the officers. We headed down to the station and the officer told us David saw Rumple. We drove to the docks and sure enough Rumple was there. He crawled into a boat and hid there for a long time. When he finally came out he told us he wanted to take a walk around he's old town. Graham told him that he couldn't. Rumple then got face to face with him and told him he can do anything he wants. Graham told him he was going to regret doing things. Then Rumple said that he wasn't going to regret doing something. Then he shot Graham in the middle of he's chest. The officer quickly shot Rumple and he fell to the ground. The ambulance came and picked up Graham and Rumple and took them away." Emma said now with tears running down her face.
"All I heard was that he got shot by Rumple." Lacy said looking at the ground.
"It was hard for me...To accept he was dead. I hit many bumps."
"Bumps?" Lacy said confused.
"Well, after he died I didn't leave my apartment. I stayed in there. Everyone came to my door and told me I can't live like this. I ignored them a stayed in there anyways. I was an orphan all my life. When Graham loved me I thought that someone actually loved me. I was going to cherish it. But when he died...I could take the pain of losing him. I decided on cutting myself. I know it was a terrible decision but I wasn't thinking. I cut myself really bad. Someone knocked on my door while I was cutting so I wanted to see who it was. I started walking over to the door when I just blacked out. The next thing I knew, I was in the hospital with bandages all around my arms. The doctor told me to go to therapy. So that's what I am doing and I'm doing really good."
"Oh, those bumps." Lacy said.
"I'm doing really good now though."
"Well, all I've been doing is thinking about Graham." Lacy said.
"I can feel you." Emma said. "Hey? Do you want to come back with me to Storybrooke and just stay till the funeral is over?"
"That would be splendid!" Lacy said excited.
"You can stay in 'Granny's Inn'." Emma said.
"Awesome. I'll go get my stuff packed and get my keys." Lacy said standing up from the couch and leaving. Emma looked back at some pictures while Lacy was gone. She saw one of Graham and his dad playing outside. She smiled and then looked over at the another picture. This one was a picture of Graham around the age of 8 with a cone of ice cream. She saw another one were Graham had a graduate cap on. She looked at it closer and it was when he graduated from college. That picture was the latest picture Lacy had of Graham on the walls. Lacy walked back in the living room and said, "I'm ready. I'll drive my car, so you don't have to drive back here to drop me off."
Emma nodded and they walked outside. Lacy locked the door and walked to a little gray car. She popped the trunk and but her stuff in.
"Just follow me the whole way to Storybrooke. I might make a pit-stop." Emma said.
"Okay" Lacy said then got into her car.
Emma walked over to her bug and got in. She started it up and glided down the driveway. She looked in her review mirror and saw Lacy following her. She looked at her car clock and it read 1:00pm. She then started on her way back to Storybrooke.
