Chapter 36

Emma read the whole book in one night. She loved it so much. She wondered why she stopped reading in the first place. She looked over at the clock and it read 7:02pm. She had been reading for 2 hours. She was very proud of herself for reading the whole book tonight. She was planning on talking to Dr. Hopper about and then go and get another book after their meeting tomorrow. She couldn't wait to get another book. She set the book down and walked into the kitchen. She got out a hot pocket and put it in the microwave. She waited for 2 minutes and then was eating it. When she finished she grabbed a notepad and pen. She decided to write a plan out for tomorrow.

She decided that she was going to write a list of what she is going to do the next day every night. She was striving to be more organized. She put the paper on the fridge and walked over to the living room and sat on the couch. She turned on the TV and switched it to her favorite channel.

Emma turned the TV off and looked over at the clock. It read 9:00pm. She started to get ready for bed.

When she was done she set her alarm and fell asleep.

Emma woke up to her alarm and started getting ready for the day.

When she was already she pulled out her phone and texted Killian.

Emma - I can pick up the coffees today.

Killian - Already on it.

Emma stuffed her phone in her pocket and grabbed her keys. She walked out of the apartment and locked the door behind her. She walked down the stairs and outside to her bug. She got in and drove to the station.

When she got to the station she parked her car and walked in. She saw Killian putting a coffee on her desk when she walked in. She walked over to him and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Thanks, Killy." Emma said trying to hold back a laugh.

"Again with the 'Killy'." Killian said laughing.

Emma laughed and took the coffee from his hands before he could place it on her desk. She sat at her desk and started her computer. While she waited Killian talked to her.

"How was the thing yesterday?" Killian asked

"It was good. He told me to start reading and I have. He gave me some recommendations and I took them. I read this book called Scars last night."

"Wait, the whole book?!" Killian said surprised.

"Ya, I just couldn't put it down. Right when I got home I started reading it and didn't stop. I don't even know what made me stop reading when I was little in the first place."

"That's awesome!" Killian said proud of Emma.

"After my meeting today I'm going to go to the library again and get another book." Emma said excited.

"I'm glad you started reading." Killian said.

"I'm glad, too." Emma said smiling.

Killian walked over and pressed his lips against hers. Emma felt like they were the only two people in the world. She loved him so much. Killian released and looked into Emma's eyes.

"I don't even know how I deserved someone like you." Killian said running his hand over the side of her face.

"We should get to work." Emma said breaking the moment.

She didn't want to break it but they were at work. Killian walked over to his desk and started working. Emma set up her papers and started the days work as well.
