Chapter 8

Emma got up from her desk and looked at the clock after Killian left. It read 6:32pm. She was shocked she worked so late. She then walked over to Graham's desk and put her hand on his shoulder.

"It's 6:30, Graham." Emma whispered.

Graham turned around from his desk and stood up.

"Wow, it is! Better get going." Graham said grabbing his keys.

They both walked out of the station and into Graham's car.

Graham drove Emma home and kissed her goodnight before driving away.

Emma walked into her apartment exhausted. She through her coat on the rack and her keys on the counter. She walked into the kitchen and made a salad.

When she finished the salad she looked at the clock and it read 8:21pm. She walked into her bedroom and got ready for bed. She then set her alarm and fell asleep.

Emma woke up to her alarm. She got out of bed and got ready for the day. She put on a blue top and a pair of jeans. She brushed her hair and then straightened it. She then brushed her teeth and walked into the living room. She looked at the clock and it read 7:45pm. She grabbed her keys and coat and walked out the door. When she got outside Graham was there again waiting for her.

"Good Morning, Beautiful." Graham said.

"Good Morning." Emma replied and kissed him on the cheek.

They both got in the car and drove to Granny's. They got three coffees and then drove to the station. They got to the station and walked in. Graham set the coffees on his desk and sat down. Emma grabbed her coffee and walked over to her desk. Killian then walked in and grabbed his coffee and sat down as well.

The work day was just like any other day. Killian left and Emma looked up at the clock. It read 5:03pm. Emma got up from her desk and walked over to Graham's.

"Hey, I gotta go. Mary and Red are going to be at my place at 5:30." Emma said to Graham.

"Ok, let's go." Graham said standing up from his desk grabbing his keys.

They both walked out of the station and into Graham's car. Graham drove Emma to her house. When they got to her house Graham kissed her and told her to have a good time. Emma walked into her apartment and straight to her bedroom. She looked in her closet for a long time and tried to decide on what to wear. She finally picked out a red top and a pair of black jeans. She got dressed and then checked the time. It was 5:21 and the girls were going to be there any minute. Emma quickly through on some more mascara and reapplied her lipstick. She then grabbed her black heels and put them on. There was a knock on the door and Emma came running. She opened the door and Mary and Red were standing there. Mary had on a white top, blue jeans, and some short boots. Red had on a red dress and some red and black heels.

"You look gorgeous!" Mary screamed out.

"You guys do, too." Emma said.

"You ready to get our party on!" Red yelled out.

"Ya! Let's go!" Emma said as she grabbed her keys and coat and walked out the door.
