Chapter 35

Emma walked into Dr. Hopper's office at 3:30pm because she waited in her car till it was 3:29pm.

"Good afternoon, Emma." Dr. Hopper said as he walked over and sat in a chair. Emma walked over to a chair and sat down as well. "How was your birthday?"

"It was pretty good actually." Emma said.

"Anything happen?" Dr. Hopper asked.

"Well, Killian gave me earrings. Then Graham's mom called me. She asked me to help with Graham's funeral and I told her I would. So I drove to Pinny, Maine and talked to her about it. I told it would be better if she was in Storybrooke intill the funeral was over just in case anything happened. So she is here in Storybrooke, staying at Granny's Inn. After that I talked to Mary and Red about my condition. Then they gave me Graham's jacket as a present. Then Killian invited me to a dinner on the beach and I went." Emma said.

"That sounds wonderful. I'm glad you have Graham's mom here. I'm also glad you talked to Mary and Red about your depression. Do your arms feel okay?"

"Ya they feel fine." Emma said rubbing her arms.

"That's good, that's good." Dr. Hopper said nodding his head. "Does Graham's mother know about your condition?"

"Ya, she said she was having a tough time so I told her how tough my time is."

Dr. Hopper nodded and wrote some stuff on a paper.

"Do I have any 'homework' to do?" Emma said putting parentheses in the air as she said 'homework'.

"Not today, Emma." Dr. Hopper said. "But your not free to go just yet." He put his notepad down and his pen and sat up in his seat. "I think you should start reading."

"What? How will that help with this?" Emma said confused.

"Well, it helps you pass time and it relaxes." Dr. Hopper said. "I know I said I didn't have 'homework' for you but I want you to go to the library and get a book. Here is a list of books I recommend for you." Dr. Hopper said as he gave Emma a sheet of paper. Emma began to read it.

"Thanks." Emma said putting the paper into her pocket.

"I want you to got to the library right now and pick at least one of those books out." Dr. Hopper said.

"Right now?" Emma said.

"Ya, you can go." Dr. Hopper said smiling.

"Okay" Emma said getting up from her chair.

She walked out of his office and got into her car. She drove to the library and parked her car. She got out and walked into the library. When she walked in she saw Belle at the counter.

"What brings you hear, Emma?" Belle asked politely.

"Just wanted to get a book." Emma said as she walked over to all of the books.

"Do you need any help?" Belle asked.

"No, no. I'm fine." Emma said waving her hand.

Emma started looking and she finally found one of the books. It was the Scars one. She decided she wasn't going to waste another 10 minutes trying to fine another one. She walked up to the desk and placed the book on the counter.

"I'll sign you up for a library card." Belle said.

Emma nodded and waited for Belle. Belle finally gave Emma a card and checked out her book.

"Thanks, Belle." Emma said.

Belle nodded and Emma walked out of the library. She got into her car and drove home.
