Chapter 45

Emma parked at the station and stepped out of her car with two coffees and a hot chocolate with cinnamon sprinkled on top. She walked in and gave Morgan the hot chocolate and Killian a coffee. She then walked to her desk and started up her computer.

"Ummm...What is on my hot chocolate? Not to sound rude..." Morgan said uneasy.

"Oh, I'm sorry. It's cinnamon. I always have it on my hot chocolate. I forgot that you might not like it." Emma apologized.

Morgan took a sip of the hot chocolate and smiled.

"This tastes pretty good actually." Morgan said.

Emma smiled and then realized she forgot to talk to Killian about today. She cursed under her breath and banged her hand on the desk.

"Swan, you okay?" Killian asked confused.

"I need to talk to you." Emma said getting up from her desk. Emma walked over to Killian and grabbed his hand. She walked outside with him and then started talking. "So, Dr. Hopper wants me to bring you to the meeting today."

"Okay" Killian said.

"He doesn't want Morgan there though." Emma said.

"Ummm...I'm not going to leave her home alone." Killian said.

"I know. Maybe we could ask Mary. She is a teacher after all." Emma said.

"Okay" Killian said.

"Wait, she doesn't even know Morgan exists." Emma said.

"Well, just bring Morgan to the school when they get out so they can meet. The school is out at 2:30 isn't it?" Killian said.

"Okay." Emma said.

Emma pulled out her phone and texted Mary.

Emma - I have to talk to you. Don't leave the school when it's out. I'm going to meet you there. Have your schedule clear for 3:00-8:00 tonight.

Killian must have been looking at Emma's phone while she was texting because he asked, "Why till 8?"

"We can get some alone time." Emma said smirking.

Killian laughed and then there was a ding from Emma's phone.

Mary - Okay?

"Okay, so at 2:25 Morgan and I will leave to go to the school. You stay here. I will come back and pick you up, then we can both ride to Dr. Hopper's." Emma said looking up from her phone.

Killian nodded and then they both walked back inside. Morgan was still sitting in the same spot she was and drinking her hot chocolate. Emma walked over to her desk and began to work.

Emma looked up at the clock and it read 2:25pm. Emma got up from her desk and walked over to Morgan.

"Grab your stuff. I want you to come with me." Emma said with an insuring smile on her face.

Morgan grabbed her stuff and walked out of the station with Emma. They got into Emma's bug and Emma started driving.

"Where are we going?" Morgan asked.

"We are going to see one of my best friends. I was hoping you two would get to spend sometime together." Emma said smiling.

Emma pulled into the school and parked her car. The girls got out of the car and started walking into the school.
