Sheriff Swan

Chapter 2

Emma looked into his deep sea blue eyes and got lost. All of the sudden she heard that Irish voice come back again.

"Sheriff?"

Emma shook her head out of the stare and said, "Sorry. Do you need any help, I could call Graham down here? He is the other Sheriff. Ya, we have two Sheriff's."

"No I'm fine I only have a little bit left anyways." Killian said looking over at his moving van.

"If you insist. If you do need any help just call the office." Emma said as she wrote down the number on a piece of paper. She handed it to Killian and said, "Here ya go."

Killian took it and said, "Thank you."

"Your Welcome." Emma said with a smile on her face. "I guess I'll see you around."

"Ya" Killian said nodding his head.

Emma walked back to the car and opened the door.

Before she got in she turned around to Killian and said, "Hey, the best place to eat is Granny's Diner. If I were you I would stop by sometime. Meet some new people. They are all pretty nice here."

"Ya, I'll do that." Killian said smiling at her.

Emma nodded and got into the car and drove back to the police station. She got out of the car and walked into the station. Graham only had 5 papers left when she walked in.

"Anything up." Graham said not looking up from the papers.

"Ya, actually there is a new person in town. His name is Killian Jones and he seems really nice." Emma said not noticing that she was staring at the wall while saying it.

Graham looks up and says, "That's good. Always like to see new folk in town. Emma!"

Emma quickly broke her stare with the wall and traveled her eyes to Graham.

"Sorry." She said.

"Anyways, he should get out to Granny's and meet some people." Graham said looking back down at his papers.

"I told him to go to Granny's sometime and he said he would." Emma said almost staring at the wall again.

"That's good." Graham said now looking at his computer.

Emma looked at the clock and it read 4:31pm. She still had a half an hour till she got off work. She walked over to her desk and sat down. All she could think about was Killian Jones. He was so handsome and his Irish accent just topped it off. Emma quickly realized that she was staring at the wall again.

She shook her head from the gaze and thought to herself, Emma! No! He might not be the best person in the world! You like Graham anyways. You know him better than that man in the leather jacket!

She got on her computer and looked up Killian Jones. When she finally had a description that matched the picture she read. She read that he hadn't done anything bad. She leaned back in her chair and smiled. She still couldn't give in to him yet though, she needed to know him. She wanted to see if it would work out with Graham also. She never got a chance to tell Graham how she feels about him. She forgot the thought and looked up at the clock it read 5:13pm. She got up from the desk and grabbed her keys.

She walked over to Graham's desk and said, "Goodnight Graham."

He looked up from his computer and said, "Goodnight Emma."

Emma smiled and walked out of the police station. She got into her yellow bug and drove to her apartment. When she got into her apartment she put her red leather jacket on the coat rack and her keys on the table. She walked to the kitchen and made a personal pan pizza for herself. Then she sat on the couch. She went to turn the TV on when her phone started to buzz. She looked at who was calling her and it was on of her best friends Mary Margaret.

She answered the phone with, "Hello."

"Hey Emma." Mary said back.

"What's up?" Emma said then taking a bite of the pizza.

"Oh.... Just wondering.... If you wanted to.... Go out with me and Red on Friday?" Mary asked.

It was Monday and she had nothing to do on Friday so she replied with a, "Ya, that would be fun. Meet me at my place at 5:30."

"Awesome!" Mary said excited.

"Can't wait!" Emma said getting excited, too.

"Ok, I'll see you around Emma, bye."

"Bye." Emma said then hung up the phone.

She quickly finished her pizza and washed the plate she used. She walked back to the TV and turned it on to one of her favorite channels.
