I.
I'll never forget
The blood on my hands
Invisible, but thick
As it pools around my feet
It consumes me;
in guilt and shame
Of a night gone wrong
Gone wrong.II.
I'd gone wrong
When I thought he'd changed
From his foolish, old ways
Giving into sinful temptations
He'd given up his life
Killed our dreams
And robbed me of mine.III.
They robbed me of my son
Of my world that day
I can't see past his face
Past the loss he's had to make
For one mistake he gives it all up
And I'm not sure I can take
The sad, twisted fate
Of an innocent boy's one mistake.Inspired by Saint Anything
