Bruises and Boons
I never would have thought he'd have me
I never would have believed he'd hurt me
To say yes, to accept my heart
That he'd shout and beat what's left
But he's here
In front of me
With a smile on his face
My bleeding heart in his hands
And I can't help but pinch myself
And want to close the gushing wounds
For is this a boon? A dream come true?
Or the splitting open of a new bruise?
