Woman
They work, and they toil
Endlessly and forever
When they deserve so much more
Than the harsh, unforgiving eyes of the world
That they were born into. You're a Woman; fit for this
Fit for home
Fit for bearing children
Fit for suffering
Fit for burdens and responsibilities
Worth that of an entire family's.Nothing is ever enough
They crave more
They push and they push them
Until Women all but break. It isn't okay
It never will be
The existence of such a reality
In a system that calls itself an equitable democracy.Unless we make a change
Today, now, this very second
If we correct the wrongs
Of our forefathers and the generations before us
There is still hope
For what is to come.So lend a hand
Give a tiny piece of yourself
To these Women who fight
The battles of the world
With all their mightThey are the true heroes
Faded into black
But the world will know
They deserve the golden chanceOf being seen.
Of being acknowledged.
Of being praised.
Of being themselves.Let's piece together
The image of a Woman
True to herself
True to the world.
