a double edged sword
They think less of me
for bearing my body
to their hungry, feasting eyes.
They think less of me
for making ends meet
by sating their desires.
They think less of me
for revealing parts

The world thinks less of me
for being the one exploited
at the hands of its misogyny.
But I've a choice of how
and I'd trade my body any day
over what's left of my heart.Inspired by Margaret Atwood's "Helen of Troy Does Countertop Dancing"
