Judgment Day.
Ink splatters on the sidewalk
poisonous blotches seeping into the ground
staining the face of all the Earth
as the heavens part to rain down the sin
of mankind's greatest transgressions. The faces of the innocent distort
into their greatest nightmares as they see
nothing past the empty void of their futures
brought to be because of their brethren's
insidious acts.Redemption is nothing but a joke
a pitfall of a foolish dreamer
who refuses to look past the ugliness
of a fallen world.and as Darkness descends
we embrace it faster than the light
for it's easier to accept defeat
with the fake face of bravery
than to rise above the ashes
of the world we've burned down.
