"She seems off." Poe spoke, sitting next to Finn and they dug into some sort of food, I couldn't eat. I was worried about her, the nightmares turned into night terrors and she woke up screaming a lot. I sighed, rubbing my temples. The two looked at each other, noticing my distraught. Finn has a stupid smirk on his face "so you and her, that's a thing then?" Poe smirked, I found myself smiling but then stood up.

"Shut your mouth" they laughed together, they knew it, I think everyone did. I wandered off down the corridor thinking to myself. She needed training, no doubt they'd be coming after us, I wondered if we should remain here, if they somehow managed to find us, they'd find the resistance base, maybe it would be better for us to go to a different planet.

"Rey?" I heard Leia's soft voice call, I turned to face her. She seemed... Not all there without Han,  he completed her and I could only Imagine the pain she felt, not only for her lovers death but... The fact that it was at the hands of her own son. "Can we Talk to you for a minute?" She asked, nudging her head to inside the conference room. Inside resided her and Chewie, who was sad without Han too.

We sat in silence for what felt like forever, but Leia broke it as she asked the one question I didn't know how to answer. "What are we going to do about Kya?" I wondered how they knew about her, who she was, Alexia didn't tell me much about her, just that she was her sister. Leia sensed this confusion, her and Chewie sat down and began explaining.

"Kya, along with Ben and Alexia were trained under master Luke, his strongest and best students. Alexia was the golden student, who was undoubtedly loyal to the light side of the force, clearly Luke's favourite student. Kya on the other hand, spent a lot of time with Ben, even as children... They were connected by a red string on their pinkies. Destined to be together, always." Leia took deep breaths talking about Ben, and the wookie comforted her the best he could.

"Ben was good kid" he spoke, in wookie of course, "Ben was troubled boy" Leia had a small smile on her face, remembering her son. "But Ben had bad in his heart too"

"Turns out, Kya went against Luke's wishes, and went to battle alongside a few Jedi and her parents during an invasion, Alexia was too young at the time." This confused me, usually they were separated from their parents to let go of attachments, there was something Leia wasn't explaining. "That same day, her parents were murdered, in front of her. And while no Jedi could help them, Kya refused to believed it, and blamed the Jedi for their death, she stopped training, and lived amongst Luke and the others as a civilian, passed her lightsaber to her little sister and was done with becoming a Jedi... But none of us knew that the darkness was consuming her, she didn't show it." I listened, silent, not questioning anything yet.

"When Ben left, her heart broke, Alexia's heart broke too and she tried to comfort her older sister, but there was a.... Different feeling for Kya... She lost her soulmate and she didn't speak for months. Luke became concerned but she shoved him off, only speaking to Alexia but she was too young to understand this pain that ate at her sister at night, Alexia wasn't very Attached to her parents, just her sister... And Luke. When Ben came back to rid the world of the Jedi and all the younglings he spared Kya and her sister and they fled elsewhere on the planet, Kya had to assume responsibility for her younger sister, and had to become something like her mother at a young age.
Alexia fell deathly sick, and she died a little more each day, but Kya didn't trust us to come to us, she assumed we killed her parents, that we'd kill her sister too. She did everything in her power to heal her, to feed her, to keep her alive and if she wasn't sick, Kya might've succeeded. But that wasn't the case, and as Alexia grew closer to the brink of death, Kya began to embrace hate and anger, towards herself, towards Luke, towards the light side of the force and slowly drift to the dark side. Ben..or... Kylo Ren, I should say, came back for Kya. STRICTLY. for Kya, he couldn't be without her. But she refused to leave Alexia to die, and when he made her the offer of healing her as long as she turned to the dark side and went with him, well she took the offer in a heartbeat, assuming that Alexia would follow once she healed... But Alexia never showed up, Alexia knew that the light is what she needed... And so, their bond was broken. Kya became a knight of Ren, Kylo's prized apprentice, and Alexia... Well, we'll see what she's destined for."

This was a lot to take in, I didn't really know how to process. Chewie made a sad noise, he missed Ben I could tell.

"Kya was good kid too, Kya was special" he looked at Leia, but she shook her head. There was a missing part of the story.

"Her parents?... I don't understand"

"That's a different story for another time" Leia sighed. "So, now that you know. You know how hard it is to tell Alexia-"

"I want to know everything." I demanded. Leia and Chebacca exchanged looks but she let out a sigh.

"Rey, you cannot tell Alexia... This is for her own good, but for you to understand where we come from, you must know." I thought about it, this had to do with her and who was I to keep it from her. "Rey." Leia persisted. I nodded, agreeing to this.

"Luke Skywalker... Has one child, a single child. Alexia, my niece, she's a Skywalker, Rey. At first, she was born to be great, but if the information was known, her blood line, they would use her against Luke, she was his one and only weakness. It was hard to give her up, and I loved her like my own... But we had to protect her. My brother and I knew a woman, one who was close to us, one we trusted... And he trusted her with raising Alexia. This woman was Nyota, Kya's mother."

There was a pause, and I could tell, that wasn't the big part of the story. Leia shuffled in her seat. "Kya... Special. Kya chosen" Chewie spoke, standing up and looking out the window.

"Kya, has no biological father, Nyota claimed to have just.. Become pregnant, she carried her and she birthed her and she raised her... But there was no father, and Nyota couldn't explain this... And so, we had only one viable option, we assume Kya was born that of midi-chlorians" Leia's voice shook.

"Like-"

"Anakin." She nodded, cutting me off.

Kya was born the same way as Anakin Skywalker... No wonder the force was so undeniably strong with her, she was born from it....

"Kya and Alexia were raised together as sisters, so Alexia could be a normal child, and Nyota lived with a man, who she told Kya was her father, and Alexia's too. The girls have no blood relation." Leia stood up, rubbing her hands together nervously, It felt like she hasn't spoke about this In so long, that this was an ancient secret. "When the Sith found out about Kya's conception, they came for her thinking she could be everything Darth Vader couldn't be. They wanted her, to raise her from young, so they attacked their village on Naboo" I felt a... Pain in my heart there was so much more to the story than either of them knew. "They killed everybody searching for her, but they couldn't find her they left to search for her on other planets, determined to retrieve her and make her into something dark. Luke came back for his daughter to make sure she was safe... alive, but realized how attached she grew to the family, specifically to Kya.. So he took the family the Jedi temple determined to protect Alexia... And now Kya who was chosen for something she couldn't even understand yet."

I let out a deep breath, processing everything. My first instinct told me to tell Alexia everything, but I realized the importance of staying silent.

"If you tell her now, she'll resent you for not telling her earlier..." I spoke up and Leia nodded.

"She will believe her sister when she said the Jedi couldn't be trusted, she isn't ready for the truth, but now you know why she is is so important, and why killing Kya won't be easy. She's not the average force sensitive person" Leia sighed. "Kya has no idea who she is, maybe it's safer that way... If she's anything like Anakin...."

"We'll have find a way to kill her" I looked up from the ground, it was a little easier knowing that she wasn't really related to Alexia, but I still had to treat it as such, for her sake. But There was a haunting feeling within me, what would happen if they found out? Kya would surely use this to her advantage, and become the strongest she could be and Alexia... She could either get the strength to kill her or join her.

Both were equally terrifying.
