Chapter 5

--Alexys' POV-

After the last song, umalis na agad ako. Bago pa ako kausapin nun.

Bakit ako umiiwas?

Eh kasii....

Kasi nacoconscious ako ano kaya itsura ko baka oily mukha ko. Baka hindi na effective cologne ko.

HAHAHA.

Tsaka. Tsaka.

2 minutes late na akooooo sa Orientation! Takboooo.

Finally, nakarating din ako sa Auditorium

"Miss, please be guided that the latecomers are required to go to the stage as your name is called." Hah? Ano rawwww?!

Umupo ako sa balcony seat at ayun nananahimik.

After few moments, nagstart na din.

"Good Morning, Royal Froshies. Welcome to Royal Eastern University's  School of Engineering and Architecture: Royal Frosh Orientation."

After nun, may lalaking hingal na hingal na ginaguide ng Men In Black. HAHAHA. MIB ulit. Umupo siya sa tabi ko. Late din eh. Grabe haggardo na si kuya. Pinaypayan ko siya at binigyan ng tubig. Nakayuko siya dahil sa hingal.

Tinanggap niya naman ang offer ko. At umupo ng maayos. Hindi ko Makita 'yung mukha niya. Pero he smells familiar. OO. SMELL.

Amoy pabango ni...

Bigla niyang inayos yung buhok niya at humarap sa akin.

"IKAW?!/IKAW?!" Pareho kaming nagulat. Si... Kuyang Bakulaw na Maputla.
"Ahh... Are you mad at me?" sabi niya.
"Ha? Ano... Hindi ah." Sagot ko.
"By the way, I'm Max Alexander Yu. Arki Frosh din."
"Ah.. Alexys Sy. Same."
"Ano... Wag ka nang ma-awkward sa akin. Just call me Xander." Sabi niya at ngumiti. Grabeeee ang pogi. SHIT. Hahaha puñetang landi cells to oh!
"Ah, sorry. Hehe. Nahihiya kasi ako sayo. Call me Alex."
"Okay Alys." Sabi niya. TSS. SINABI NGANG ALEX EH.
"Haha." Sabi ko nalang at nakinig.

"So, may we call on Miss Alexys Sy and Mister Max Alexander Yu here on the stage?" sabi nung host
"Holy Frappe." Sabi ni Xander. Syet ang pogi niya at ng reaction niya. Hahaha. May pogi bang reaction?! hahahhaa!

No choice na dahil pinalilibutan na kami ng MIBs at ayun pinaakyat sa stage. Tapos may inabot na violet envelope sa amin.

"Mr. Yu and Ms. Sy please read the letters for the two of you silently."

Hmm ano kaya to.

Miss Alexys Sy, you are required to sing a song together with Mister Max Alexander Yu. Decide on the song for only five minutes. Afterwards, you will perform it here.

"Hey, Alys."
"It's Alex."
"Ah Alys, what song do you prefer?" Sinabing Alex eh. Gwapo nga, makulit naman.
"I don't know eh."
"Collide? First Love? Fo-f-forevermore? Iris? Uhh..." suggestion niya.
"Okay lang ba kung favorite song ko?" tanong ko. ABA EH DEMANDING AKO EH.
"Okay. Ano ba yun?"
"Forevermore." sabi ko.

Nanlaki yung mata niya. Tapos hinawakan ang kamay ko palapit sa host at..

"So, Mr. Yu and Ms. Sy decided to perform the song Forevermore!" nagpalakpakan sila.

Namatay yung ilaw at all eyes were on the two of us. There are only light effects. Grabe.

Damang-dama ko yung pagkanta niya sa first line. Natutunaw ako sa tingin niya at hawak niya pa po ang kamay ko.

Shocks grabe nahihiya ako, AY MALI. KINIKILIG PALA.

Niyakap niya ako at tinuloy ko yung kanta. Pilit ko siyang nilalayo sa'kin. Aba. Tsansing na siya ha!!

after ng kanta umalis agad siya as in dire-diretso papuntang garden.

Hinahabol ko siya. Nakakahingal, seriously.

Hayy salamat huminto din siya, grabe hinihingal ako sobra.

"H-hey........ X-x-xander, b-bakit?" sabi ko kahit hinihingal ako.
"Alys, please leave." Sabi niya habang nakatingin sa malayong direksyon.
"Alexander, I won't leave nang nagkakaganyan ka." Sabi ko at umupo ako under the tree beside me.
"A-alexys. I can't. I don't want a girl to see me cry." sabi niya.
"Alexander, alam mo para ka yung childhood friend ko. Ayaw niyang nakikita ko siyang umiyak or yung mommy niya. Kaso, wala na siya eh... Iniwan niya ako. Kami." Sabi ko, Namimiss ko na talaga 'yung childhood friend kong si Kekel.

He then sat beside me and hugged me. Naiyak ako bigla. I don't know why.

"Sorry." hmm?
"Hala bakit ka nagsosorry?" sabi ko. ang adik niya wala naman siyang ginagawa--bukod sa pangttsansing niya. Charot.
"Ah-ano. Kasi I can relate to your friend at iniwan ko din yung childhood friend ko dahil kailangan."
"Bakit naman?"
"Kasi my mom decided to live in Japan after a great incident. Natrauma ako and because of that, I only had few friends. Si Shak lang at si Miaka."
"A-ahh, hindi mo naman kailangan magsorry. Hindi naman ikaw 'yun eh! Ano ka ba."
"Hah, haha. Pasensya ka na ha. Kasi may naalala lang ako sa Forevermore kaya ko nagawa yung kanina."
"Ah.. Ganun ba. Favorite ko nga yun dahil sa friend ko eh. Kaso iniwan niya ako pero kahit ganoon ang nangyari, mahal ko siya kahit nagtatampo ako."
"If It's okay to ask the reason, bakit siya umalis?"
"Hindi siya umalis. He passed away sa plane crash accident."
"A-ah sorry ah. Nacurious ako eh. Friends?" alok niya ng kamay niya
"Pwedeng Close friends?" sabi ko

Ngumiti siya at niyakap ako.

"No. Superfriends. Mas higit sa close friend." sabi niya.
