I am smiling widely, not just me, almost everyone in here. I also spotted some of the guests are almost crying out of joy. From here, I can see the groom's handsome face and his bestman on his side. He's lucky, huh? Marrying my bestfriend is like winning a lottery jackpot.
Four years have gone. Andy and Matt decided to get married after almost five years and a half of being together. Obviously, I'm Andy's maid of honor while Matt's bestman is Rick. Masaya ko at sila ang nagkatuluyan. They're strong. Keeping a relationship for over five years is really tough.
As I was watching my bestfriend's grand entrance, someone caught my eyes. That's him. Yexel. The guy I dumped four years ago. He's with someone now. I don't know why I felt hurt.
On a second thought, someone stomped on my foot.
"Sorry." sabi ni Cath. Our thesis groupmate and she's one of the bridesmaid.
"Okay lang. Kahit ang totoo masakit." sarkastikong sabi ko. She knows I'm just joking. She became one of our closest friends, that's why Andy invited her.
Nagpeace sign na lang siya sakin.
Kung anu-anong seremonyas ang pinagsasabi ni father, na hindi ko naman masyadong naintindihan dahil preoccupied ako. Narinig ko na lang na sinabi niyang, "You may now kiss the bride." Agad akong nabalik sa ulirat ko at tsaka tinignan ang bagong kasal. They sealed their love with a kiss. How sweet! Note the sarcasm. Kidding!
Naglalakad na sila palabas ng mapatingin sakin ang bestfriend ko. I mouthed her "Congrats!" Ngumiti lang siya sa akin at kumaway.
Pagkaalis ng newly weds ay sumunod na kami ni Pearl sa reception. Madaming tao, mas madami kesa dun sa simbahan. Agad kong nakita si mama na tumulong sa paghahanda ng pagkain. Restaurant kasi ni mama ang ginawang caterer, sa isang beach resort ginanap ang reception.
I was enjoying my food when someone disturbed me. Yung emcee pala. Naku! Masasabunutan ko to eh.
"You're the bride's bestfriend, right?" Tumango ako para sumagot, may laman pang pagkain yung bibig ko eh.
"Great! You'll sing! It's the newly weds request."
"What?!" I almost shout at him este her. How to address a gay ba?
"What what? It's a request, so prepare a song and tell to the band." Then he walked off.
Ugh! Andrea is sometimes annoying! Well, most of the time. Geez! What am I going to sing? May stage fright ako! I can't sing in front of these people.
In the end, wala na kong naging choice kundi ang kumanta. Lintik! Pinagkaisahan ako ni Andy at Matt. Kinausap ko yung banda na tumutugtog at sinabi ang kakantahin ko. This is it!
