Sad Eyes

After EB, Broadway Backstage:

R: *hears his phone ringing* Hello?

M: Hello Love. What time next na lakad mo?

R: Mamayang 6pm, Love? Bakit?

M: Kita tayo sa usual spot. On the way na ako. I need to see you, please, Love. See you there, okay? I love you. Bye.

R was about to respond but she already hung up, he smiles and sighs. "She does this all the time when she doesn't want to hear any more arguments. Siyempre batas ko din naman ang salita nya.", he thought.

R got her usual coffee then drove to their meeting place. He was greeted by the staff who pointed where she was seating. The place is quiet on weekdays and the staff are well-oriented about them. M is at their usual table. It was at an isolated corner or the restaurant with a couch with a high back rest so they can't be seen by other patrons.

R: Hi Love. *kisses her on the cheek*

M: *looks up from her phone* I was about to call you. Andito ka na pala with coffee pa. *smiles at R* Sweet mo talaga.

R: * seats beside her on the couch* What's wrong, Love? You sounded concerned kanina sa phone. May problema ba?

M: *crosses her arm around his and leaned on it* Ikaw, Love? May problema ka ba? You look sad. Don't even try to deny it. Your eyes don't lie, Tisoy. *gives a little pinch on his arm* That's why I needed to see you. Wala naman tayong problema di ba? Okay ka naman nung hinatid mo ako kanina kaya nagulat ako nung makita kita sa TV. Ano bang nangyari?

R: *sighs* Wala naman masyado. The usual. I'm sure nakita mo na din.

M: *sits up and looks at him* Oo pero akala ko ba kebs lang? Sabi mo sa poem mo. Ako lang ang mahalaga. Bakit ngayon affected ka ulit?

R: Okay lang naman kung ako lang. Kahit ano pang sabihin nila sa akin, kakayanin ko yan. Kaya lang pati mga kaibigan ko nadadamay na pati ikaw inuumpisahan pang intrigahin sa kaibigan ko. Di ko na talaga maiwasang maapektuhan lalo na pag ikaw ang involved. *takes M's hand and kisses it*

M: Love, wag na nating pansinin yun okay? Basta alam natin ang totoo. IKAW at AKO magkasama tayo dito. Magkakampi. Yun ang mahalaga. Nagpapasalamat din ako na marami tayong mga kaibigan, mga fans at mga taong mapagkakatiwalaan at maasahan natin. Hayaan na natin yung mga hindi makaintindi. *takes her hands to hold his face* Sa huli, kahit talikuran tayo ng lahat at mawala itong lahat, ang importante ay tayong dalawa. Nandito lang tayo para sa isa't -isa. IKAW at AKO.

R: *smiles, takes M's hands and places them on his chest* Tama. IKAW at AKO. Tayong dalawa. Magkakampi tayo. Thank you kasi lagi ka lang nandyan at naniniwala sa akin. *kisses her hands* I love you.

M: Lagi mo naman kasing pinapatunayan sa akin na you deserve it. You don't have to say anything coz you make me feel it. *brushes his cheek with her right hand* I love you.

They stared at each other for a few seconds letting the words sink in, taking in the sight of each other.

M: *suddenly smiles widely*

R: Bakit? Anong naisip mo?

M: Na-realize ko lang ang gwapo mo talaga sa gupit mo especially the stubbles on the side feels good when... *her voice trailed off*

R: When??? *he asked with a glint in his eye*

M: When... I run my hands over it like this *slowly runs her hand from his cheek, on top of his ear down to his nape*

R: *closed his eyes as she glides her hand*

M: Nakakakiliti kasi.

R: *opens his eye* Ikaw ha? Do you know where you're getting at, lady? *looks at her intently*

M: What? Wala akong ibig sabihin pero, Love, alam mo kanina after mo lumublob dun sa tubig and you were all wet, may naalala ako.

R: *slips his hand around her waist* Ano?

M: I remembered last night, dun sa beach while we were swimming basa ka din nun. Yun lang. *laughs*

R: *pulls her closer, whispers in her ear* You know, Love, I had exactly the same thoughts with you only I also remembered the other things we did.

M: *hampas sa bicep* Wag ka nga. Nasa public place kaya tayo.

R: *suddenly kisses her on the lips* Okay lang yan, walang makakakita.

M: Pilyo ka talaga. *pinches his nose hard*

R: Aray. Okay sige. Let's go to your place. Papakita ko pa sa'yo kung saan ka pa pwede makiliti ng buhok ko. *winks* 👫
