CALI part two!!!!!

Hello, my lovely!!!

So, I'm up at 5 AM just WAITING for the two LAZY GIRLS to wake up. If I were all the way healed, I would already have gone on a LONG RUN through the totes AMAZING mountain roads up here!!! I was TEMPTED but my feet still hurt too much... And besides, I'm probably going to have to MAKE IT UP to the Hubster when I get home. I didn't realize how ROYALLY PEEVED he was going to be when I took off to do this; after all, I haven't been seeing much of him lately! Guess it's TOTES DIFFERENT when it's ME who's on the road!!!! Haha, he's a sweetie but he doesn't really know his way around the kitchen, and he was going to have a bunch of his BFFs over for the GAME today. When he called me in a panic this AM (just got off the phone with him!!), I told him my DIRTY LITTLE SECRET and directed him to the stash of TAKEOUT MENUS in the back of the pantry. So CRISIS AVERTED -- although he still was grumbling about me being gone... but I just pretended that the cell was going dead and HUNG UP before he could tell me to COME HOME ASAP. I'll just block his calls for a little while to KEEP UP THE PRETENSE....

Srsly, there are THINGS TO BE DONE today!!!!

No word from Violet or Jay, though I did see his cabin lights on when I woke up in the middle of the night... They're probably not up right now anyhow...

So, PLANNING!!! The order of the day is: 1) Get Violet & Jay back to LAX (I'm going to have to wake them up SOON to get us on the road in time to catch their flights!!!) and film their POIGNANT GOODBYES. 2) brunch with the girlies!!! 3) Pick up Kate and Noah who are coming in at roughly the same time 4) BOOTCAMP!!! (It's in Palm Desert, another 2 hours away from LAX according to my trusty MAPS APP!!!)

BT-dubs, I HEART what you're putting together for group dates!!!! Can't WAIT to hear more, and YES, I will TOTES come on out and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! (Although it's easier for me if we schedule things in SoCal or at least on the West Coast... unless you think #life will spring for PLANE TIX????)

Any-hoodles, I'll be calling Derek again this morning because the SILLY BOY didn't send me his reflection overnight the way he PROMISED. Oh, I guess I can call him now to see what-all is going on! Talk later, sweetie!

You are never going to believe what these past two days have been like!!!! You were SO RIGHT AND SO WRONG ALL AT ONCE (so was I)!!!!!

So REEEE-WIND!!! And back to yesterday morning which was the last time that you heard from me. I'd just realized that I could call Derek #14 bc he's on the East Coast and so it wasn't 5AM there...

So, RING...

He picked up immediately. "Lindzi! What's up?"

I was a little SURPRISED bc I thought I'd have to leave him a message, so I had to MENTALLY REVISE what I was going to say.

"Oh, Derek, it's you -- I thought I'd catch your voicemail, sweetie!"

"Now do you really think that I'd let you go into voicemail, Lindzi?"

His TONE was a little disturbing and I made a move to QUASH HIM IMMEDIATELY.

"I'm only calling about BUSINESS -- didn't you promise me a DATE REFLECTION?"

He laughed. "Just wanted to make you ask for it. I've got it all ready to go. But Lindzi--"

"What?" I asked, warily. He was sounding PROBLEMATICALLY FLIRTATIOUS and I AM A HAPPILY MARRIED WOMAN.

"Where are you? What if I need to get in contact with you? I might need help with my reflection..."

"--I thought you said it was ready to go!!?!"
