TWO MONTHS LATER

College has been going well for me. I've been taking my classes seriously and excelling at them. I moved back into my doorm and bought all new stuff with money that I earned myself. I got a job at the coffee shop that I love. I've been working there for awhile now. I have to say that it feels good to be more independent.

I saved up enough money to buy a used car. It's works pretty good and I like it enough. I'm saving up for a new motorcycle but that will take awhile.

I bought myself a phone so now I don't have to use the phone at the OFH and other people's cell phones.

The air has been clear for awhile and my worries have escaped me. Nothing new on attacks and it's what I have suspected. Reese predicted that it will be a long while before another one happens. I'm still tied to the one year contract and it's simple. I still have to tell no one about what the OFH is and it's easy.

My parents have called the OFH several times and I told Christina and Charles to lie and say I don't know who that is. They've come by on the campus because they have taken a sudden interest in me. I've ignored them and didn't answer my door. They left my life and I need them to stay out.

I bought myself a "Rebel" shirt. People have been wearing them all around campus. It's nice to take a break from being her. And it's nice that I have a fan base.

I go back to the OFH to still train at times but on my own schedule. I drive there and get lowered down into the ground. I meet in the training area and Landon and I work more on my powers. I have mastered them for the most part but they still need a little work.

He offered to take me out to pizza and I accepted. We grabbed the same booth we did before and chowed down. "How have you been doing?" he askes.

"Great," I say and nod. "Yeah, I've been doing really good lately."

"How's the job going?"

"It's busy but it's manageable," I admit. "I love working there though. Most of the people are nice and it's a quiet surrounding. I couldn't ask for a better job. Well, you know, besides my part time job," I wink.

Landon laughs. "I'm glad to hear it."

Pete comes in the shop everyday and I serve him a drink like he's at a bar. Taylor has been giving him a tough time. I would slide him over a drink and let him pour his feelings out. That girl is nuts by blowing up his phone and following him around. I would need a real drink after that.

"I invited you here to tell you something," Landon says.

I finish my crust. "Hit me."

He rubs his fingers together. He adverts his eyes away from mine and stares at his pizza. My nerves get on edge. Did someone else die?

"I wanted you to know that I-"

I look af him, anticipating what he's about to say. He closes his mouth then re-opens, still not looking at me.

"Lan, what is it?" I ask.

He finally looks up at me and smiles. "I was just going to say that I'm going to get my own place."

I take a sip my drink and swallow it in a hurry. "That's awesome! That means you can have over as many chicks as you want," I laugh, secretly hoping that I'm wrong.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. No thank you," he says, taking a bite of his pizza.

"You're the weirdest guy ever. Who wouldn't want some hot girls over to fuck I mean, come on, why not?"

"It's just not my cup of tea," he shrugs.

I lean forward. "So what is your cup of tea?" I ask raising my eyebrows.
