Part 18

I awoke to my name being called. I sat up and looked around. My heart raced, if they think they can put another needle in my body they have something else going for them. I back up against the wall as the door opened. I swung the blankets over my head before the person could see me.

" Help me Percy." I knew that voice, I took the blankets from my head and looked around my eyes landing on Elaine. She saw me and came running." They are trying to take me away." Tears stained her face. I grasped her shoulders and stared her in the eye.

" Why?" I asked she started to object but I wasn't finished." Why are they taking you away Elaine tell me." Elaine looked pained.

" I woke up and I had bandages all over my body and they came and shoved more needles in my arm they said I passed out...again." Elaine muttered softly." They want to experiment on me Percy they want to take me to a hospital and give me away to some man!"

" Why would they do experiments on little girl?" I asked then it dawned on me." Poison...I didn't answer but did you?" Elaine seemed to understand right away and started to cry more." Elaine, you are suffering."

" No I'm not!" She screamed." I'm normal! I'm fine!"

" NO your NOT!" I anger exclaimed sternly making her look away." You have a chance to get it all fixed! You have a chance to let go!"

" I DON'T WANT TO LET GO!" She screamed." I want it normal again where I come back to my mother and computers and songs and siblings. Where I never see my dad, where they love me, where I'm normal!"

" Elaine, there is a problem." I whispered." You never have to see your dad again, and they will love you, your mother is gone but you get a new one. They will love you as well." I grasped her arms trapping her so she cannot escape.

" NO!" Elaine shouted angry." They all FAKE! I am just another problem! I hate it! Without it my mother would still be alive and my dad far away and my siblings here! I HATE YOU!" She tried to rip free from my grip but I held tighter.

" Elaine," I started.

" SHUT UP!"

" It's eater me or them."

" I HATE YOU!"

" Please."

" IDIOT!" She screamed tears rolling down her cheeks. I pulled her close ignoring her violence towards the action. I could hear her whisper." I don't want to go to them again, I hate them, they try to hurt me." Her whispers were so quiet a normal person would have never heard but I did. She sounded so broken, it hit me in a wave of depression hearing those words. I held tighter as she sobbed.

" Shhhh." I hummed. Elaine sobbed and sobbed and soon tired her self out falling to sleep for the first time in a long time she looked peaceful. I felt a soft hand on my shoulder I turned to see Annabeth there her hair blowing softly, she wore a Greek dress that flowed beautifully with blue and white. She was misty with a mist area around her. At her hip was a dagger and in her hand was a watch.

" Time has paused for a bit so you and I can talk but when time rolls again I will be permitted back to the underworld." Annabeth said." You will a amazing father some day."

" I just wish....Annabeth I need help." I stuttered." I just don't know what to do. Something happened and she's afraid and can't see straight, or it's just me being a Seaweed Brain."

" You are a Seaweed Brain I can't deny that but she just doesn't understand. Her vision is fogged by fear." Annabeth said laying a hand on Elaine's head." I know it's hard, I know you want to believe her and keep her here with you and I know you mean well but she will never be allowed to see her family anymore. She knows that."
