"Why does he always listen to you (Y/n)?" Clint crossed his arms over his chest. "It makes me feel less important. I like bossing people around."
"Because I like (Y/n) better than all of you combined."
"Gee, thanks." Wanda deadpanned from the kitchen table where she was filing her nails.
Natasha shrugged. "You're just a kid. Your opinions don't matter."
"And your silver hair makes it very hard for me to take you seriously. Did you just wrap your head in tinsel and think, 'damn I look fine this can be my new thing'?" Clint added.
"Jeez I was just kidding." Pietro counters.
"Be realistic." Tony sighed. "He obviously shoved his head up a unicorn's ass."
"What the hell?" You arched your eyebrows, digusted. "Leave him alone."
"I'm just saying." Tony put his hands in the air in mock defense. "You look like Miley Cyrus' kid."
"Okay, that's enough," You frowned. "And I don't see the resemblance."
"I was joking." Pietro mumbled.
"Dude, I'm just saying!" Tony laughs.
Pietro slouched in his seat and remained silent.
After a few more minutes, he had still not spoken, and you were worried he was hurt by the team's, what you hoped was, "playful" teasing.
"You okay, Piet?"
He nodded his head.
"Hey," you turned so you were facing him. "What's up?"
"It's dumb...but," he sighed and sat up straighter too. "Am I really welcome? Or am I just here because Maria and Fury told the team they didn't have a choice?"
You knitted your eyebrows together. Never did you think Pietro felt this way. You assumed he took everything like the jokes they were.
"Of course we want you here, Piet, what are you saying? Do you want to leave?"
