Ariana's POV

"Come on, Danny. I know you want to smile." I told him. We were currently in the waiting room at Syco records. I had a meeting with Simon, and I didn't have a babysitter so I brought both Mia and Daniel. He had been in a bad mood and I was trying to cheer him up.

"You sure you don't want to smile? Okay then, I'm just going to have to sing your favorite song all by myself."

If he's been snuggled by teddy bear sneakers, then I'll sit on a duck.

He had helped me finish the song and I had gotten both Mia and Danny to laugh. They clapped and I gave them a bow. I heard more claps coming from behind me, so I turned around and bowed to them.

"That was a spectacular a performance, I wouldn't be surprised if you won a Grammy for that."

"Ugh, I know. Adele better watch out, am I right?"

"Definitely. I'm Ashton by the way." He said, introducing himself.

"I'm Luke." The other one said.

"Ariana." I replied, shaking both of their hands.

"I Mia!" She shouted excitingly. They introduced themselves to her and to Danny as well. Then two more guys came and introduced themselves as Calum and Michael. We were both waiting for a meeting with Simon so we decided to make small talk. I found out that they were a band from Australia called 5 Seconds of Summer. I found out that two of them were only 17, one was 16, and the other was 18.

"Wow, y'all are babies still. How'd you guys end up in London?"

"Music." One said.

"How about you?" Another asked.

"I'm from Cheshire, originally from Florida though. I'm here in London for the same reason as you guys. Music. I actually just got off tour. The O2 was my last gig."

"Wait- that was you? We actually attended that show. It was sick."

"Yeah, we heard you sold out that place without even having a record deal. Congrats."

"Thanks." I said with a smile.

"So- uh. How old are you, Ariana?" Luke asked me, looking nervous.

"A lady never tells." I said, then winked at him jokingly. Then continued, "Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm actually just a little bit older then you. That's all you're getting though." Then I began to laugh, they joined in soon after.

"Ms. Grande, and the 5 Seconds of Summer boys, Simon will see you now." Simon's receptionist said. I didn't know this was joint meeting and by the look on their face, they didn't know that either. I grabbed Mia and Danny's hands and we walked in the room, with the boys behind us. We exchanged hello's and then we got straight to business.

"So, all of you. A band here on my label is doing a world tour this year. Tour starts in a couple weeks and I was wondering how you would feel if you all joined them. As their opening acts."

The 5 Seconds of Summer boys agreed, but said that they would need to speak with their management first. Turns out Simon had already got given the okay for that and it was only the boys who needed to agree. Since I had no management, I agreed as well. Then he told us,

"Congratulations, you guys are now officially the opening acts for One Direction's Take Me Home Tour."

They cheered and I just sat their completely shocked. I was not expecting that to be the band. I don't really have a problem with it. I wasn't about to let Harry ruin my career and going on this tour will surely help me get more fans. We were all dismissed, but then Simon told me to hold back for a second so that we can talk.
