Ariana's POV

"Oh my god, I knew something was missing. Thank you so much, I love it." I told him.

"This should be your first single released off the album. Its got a catchy tune, it'd kill the charts and y'know, I'm on it." Malcolm said, to which I agreed.

Although the fans knew the original version of my song 'The Way," we had made a new and improved version. They would love it. Me and 'Mac Miller' have been in the studio for two hours and we finally finished the song. New beat and new lyrics were added to it, I was excited.

"I want to release it as soon as possible, but it'd take forever to release it as an 'official' single. We'd have to do promo, then the music video. A couple months give or take." I told him, a bit disappointed. He asked me how long I was in New York for and I replied that I was leaving very late at night the following day. He then came up with a bright idea. He said he was close friends with a director and if we start working now, we could film the video while I was here. It was happening way too fast, but I loved the idea. He called up his friend and he agreed to it and because it was only 2 PM, he told us we would have to work nonstop the rest of today, and tomorrow. I called my mom told her the good news and that she should stop by after work. I had called Frankie before her and told him to bring the kids since it would be a long day. By the time everything was set up it was about 9 PM.

When my family arrived I excitingly showed them the new version and they loved it. We were on set for hours and when the kids were tired my mom and Frankie decided to go home with them. We ended up filming until the following morning and when we did finish, everyone cheered excitingly and I thanked them all for their hard work. I promised them that next time I was in New York I'd take them all out to dinner.

Mac Miller drove me to Frankie's and when we arrived he told me I should take a nap and then get dressed. I asked him why, and he replied with this,

"While you were napping in between takes, me and Harmony (the one who produced the song) called up a local radio station and set up an interview to promote the single. We also made a public announcement on twitter for your fans to attend so you know that shit's gonna be packed."

I was speechless. Saying thank you wasn't enough to show my gratitude. I reached across the car divider and hugged him so tightly.

"I love you, I love you, I love you. You're honestly the best. Thank you so much, I owe you one. Fuck that, I owe you a billion."

We exchanged goodbyes and I went inside. I hung out with Mia and Danny for a while then I took a nap. Turns out my mom knew about this said interview and had went out and bought me a dress.

By the time I arrived, there were already fans lined up outside. I turned back to look at my mom and she looked so proud. I was holding Mia while Frankie was holding Daniel. As I walked to the entrance the fans noticed me and started to scream. I waved my hand and Mia copied my actions, making them awe.

An hour later everything was being set up. The fans were let in already and I was told that too many showed up and they couldn't all fit inside. I sent out a tweet saying that I would go out and meet those who didn't get to come in after the interview was over.

"Thank you for being here with us today and for giving us a taste of your new single."

"No problem. Thank you for having me." I replied.

"It was our pleasure. We here you have a flight to London later on, so we'll let you get going. Give it up for Ariana Grande, everybody."

I thanked them all and met a few people before I was told I had to leave. As promised, I met the ones who didn't make it inside to watch the interview.
