How could I forget?

Ariana's POV

My cab had just pulled up to the hotel where we would be staying at. A few fans were outside and asked for a photo. After that I went straight to the room number Harry had said he was staying in. When he opened the door I had to hold back a laugh, "Wow. You look really sexy."

He had beads and lots of loose hair ties in his hair, and makeup all over his face.

"I do, don't I? Mia wanted to do me a makeover." He shrugged, not bothering to take any of it off. I looked at the bed and noticed that both of them and Lux were asleep on the bed. I told him that I really wanted to wake them up to let them know I was here. He told me that they had just fallen asleep for their nap half an hour ago. I then felt his hands slip around my waist and his head rest on my shoulder.

"I was thinking," He started off, "that since we're in your home state, I'd leave the date to you."

I turned around and raised an eyebrow at him, "You want me to take you out?" I confirmed, "Then be prepared for the best date of your life."

Harry's POV

To say the kids were ecstatic to see their mum was an understatement. We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon together. When it was time for mine and Ari's date, they got a bit sad when we were leaving, but when we mentioned that they would be staying with Lou and Lux, then would be spending the night with their nonna, they got excited. Ariana had left first as she stated, she 'needed to get things ready.' She then called me to go through the back entrance of the hotel since she was already there. When I went out I was gobsmacked. I didn't expect to see Ariana sitting up on the seat of a vintage cadillac. I was in awe.

"You rented a car?"

"Yup. And you're driving." She said, tossing me the keys and sliding over. We talked and drove aimlessly, at least I thought it was aimlessly, it wasn't until we were nearing a shopping center did she tell me to pull in. She walked me to a pizzeria and ordered a vegan pizza. We left and once we were back on the road she admitted that she hadn't thought this far ahead. We noticed that the beach was really close and decided to go there. We sat on the beach and ate. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed the meal, I thought vegan pizza would taste weird. After the food went down Ari suggested we walk along the beach. She was only in ankle deep then suddenly this big wave came and hit her from the waist down. I couldn't stop laughing and she joined me. It was only until I saw a camera's flash that I realized that paps had found us. It was about to ruin my mood, but I felt her grab my hand and pull me along to the shore, telling me to not let them ruin our fun.

"Give them the finger." She told me, shrugging as if it were no big deal. "C'mon," She continued, "It'll make you feel better."

I saw her raise her arm up to do it then encouraged me to, and I admit, it did make me feel a little better. We were in the water and noticed another wave coming, she tried getting out, but I held her back laughing. When it was close she ended up jumping on me so that it wouldn't hit her as high.

We got out and just walked along the beach. I took a chance and reached out to hold her hand and she accepted.

A few minutes later an older woman passed by with a dog on its leash. Ari stopped the woman and asked to pet it, saying that it reminded her of her dog Coco. We chatted with the woman for a while before she asked if we could watch her dog for a few minutes, she had forgotten his frisbee in her car and wanted to go get it. We told her it was fine and watched the dog for her. I ended up taking a picture of Ari, the sunset, and even the dog came out in the photo. I posted it on instagram with the caption, 'Serendipity.' She had no idea I took the photo, she was too busy looking out at the waves.

When the woman returned we went back to our original spot on the beach and sat down.

"So, how'd I do? Best date ever or what?" She asked me.

"I don't know, Louis took me to a Coldplay concert before so," I started off jokingly, she hit my arm playfully then in all seriousness I continued, "It really was yeah. I thought the paps would've ruined it, but you made me forget all about them."

We stayed there a while longer then decided to go back to the hotel. When we got there we stayed up talking until the both of ended up falling asleep. It wasn't until someone came knocking on our door that we both got up. It turned out to be Niall at the door saying that everyone was going to the pool that was on the rooftop. I looked at the time and questioned why they were going so late at night. He shrugged and said that they were bored and decided to go swimming. I asked Ariana if she wanted to go and she agreed. So here we were, on the rooftop at 2 in the morning. There was light music playing and everyone seemed to be having a good time. It was the emo's, our crew, our band, and us.

It was 4 in the morning when we decided to put a fire. Niall had his guitar out and was just randomly strumming the strings. It was only Luke, Michael, Ari, Sandy, Sophia and the rest of us 1D Boys. We had a couple days off and were trying to decide what to do with them.

"My mom lives about half an hour away. We could just have a normal barbecue. We could go to the market and buy the stuff and you guys can grill it. There's a pool and it's in a private location. No chance of paps getting shots so you guys wouldn't have to worry or anything." Ariana suggested. We all agreed. It sounded like a good plan. We decided that we should all get to bed now and leave for the market at 10AM. As we took the elevator down I overheard Liam ask Ari how our date went. It made everyone in the elevator look at us, we didn't really tell anyone, and Liam just so happened to blurt it out.

"Yes, we went on a date. No need to look shocked." I told them all, "Since you lot are curious I'll just say we had a good time. Went to the beach, took a dog under our wing for about 10minutes, it was nice."

We went out separate ways after we exited the elevator. Liam's room was next to ours, making us walk in the same direction.

"So, Liam," I started off with a cheeky smile, "When are we gonna double date with our girlfriends?"

"Girlfriend?" Ariana asked with a smile on her face.

"You said one date and you'd say yes. So yeah, girlfriend."
