Ariana's POV

"I can't talk on the phone anymore, daddy. I'm hanging out with Harry later and I have to finish getting ready."

I rolled my eyes as I heard him go off on how I'm "too young" to date. I'm fourteen, for goodness sake. It's not like he has to worry though, no guy in all of Homles Chapel would ever even like me. I finished tying up my shoelaces then went downstairs to tell my mom I was leaving already. She kissed my forehead and told me to be careful. Right as I was walking up to Harry's door, Gemma was on her way out and told me it was fine for me to just walk right in. I took off my sweater and hung it on the rack beside the door. I called out for Anne and found her in the kitchen. Ever since the park incident from the first week we moved here, Anne has been like a second mother to me. It's only been a few months living in England, but I already knew that Anne would be a lifelong companion. She told me to go right on up to Harry's room and tell him that he needs to eat lunch before we could leave the house.

"Harry, your mom says you need to eat lunch before we go wherever it is your taking me." I said once he opened his bedroom door. I looked him in the face and noticed that he looked nervous. When I asked him about it he shook his head and complimented me. I looked down at my blue skinny jeans and purple t shirt, a normal outfit. I decided to shrug it off and told him he looked nice as well. He was wearing his normal baggy jeans, belt with the British flag on the buckle, black t shirt, and lots of bracelets around his wrist.

I sat at the dinner table with him as he finished up his lunch. He practically dragged me out of his house as if we were in a rush and made me forget my jacket on the coat rack. Since I was originally from the sunshine state of america, I still wasn't used to the english weather. He let me borrow his sweater and kept dragging me off into the woods. When we passed almost all of the trees it turned out their was a little stream in the middle. We went closer and just sat near it, doing what we do best and just talked about life and music.

"Do that- that one imitation again. The Britney Spears one! That one always gets me, you have it so spot on." He said once our laughter died down. I over dramatically cleared my throat and put my hand out as if I were holding a mic, oh baby, baby. How was I supposed to know-

And just like that we were laughing again. I laid back on the grass and looked up at the sky. I randomly told him that I was so glad I met him, in the few months that I've happened to know Harry Styles he's already managed to be one of the best friend's I've ever had. He stood up so fast that I wasn't expecting him to pull me up with him. He looked so nervous again and kept rubbing his hands up and down the side of his jeans.

"Hey, you okay? We can head back home if you're not feeling well-" I couldn't finish my sentence because next thing I know he's kissing me. Just like that, Harry Styles took my first kiss from me, and as far as I'm aware, this is his to. I kissed him back slowly, not knowing what to do, just thinking back to what I saw in the movies. I was so embarrassed I was doing something wrong so I pushed him off of me. This is Harry, my only friend, we shouldn't be doing this. Before he could say anything about it I reached out and punched him in the arm.

"Ow! What the hell, Ari?"

"What the hell, me? What the hell you?! Why would you even- Ugh." I lightly pulled my hair and walked away from him. I had the slightest idea where I was going, but I had to leave. When I got home I ran up to Frankie's room and told him what happened.

"Well, Ari girl. That's what happens when a person likes you. They want to express their feelings in a way more than friendship."

"I know! I'm not a kid, Franks! This is Harry we're talking about."

He looked at me as if I was the biggest idiot on the planet, "Ariana, I know damn well you have feelings for him too. Don't try to hide it. He likes you and he made it obvious. Punching him only made him think you don't feel the same way back. If you guys are as good as friends that we all see you as, then it shouldn't really change anything."

I nodded my head, he was right. I told him I was leaving and went right back over to Harry's house. His mom let me in and once I stood outside of his door, I got a whole lot more nervous. He slowly opened the door and looked surprised to see me. I made up the lame excuse of having to give his sweater back. Once in his room, I gave it back to him and sat on the bed. He came and sat next to me.

"I'm sorry, Ari. I wouldn't have kissed you if-" I shut him up by quickly putting my lips to his. I looked away shyly and smiled. He made it obvious he liked me, so I made it obvious I liked him. I felt his hand slip into mine and knew that there was no way we'd go back to being just friends.

Harry's POV

I read over the text that Ari sent me a few days ago. She had rehearsals for another Broadway show she was on and couldn't make it for the first live performance of the X Factor. I know she wanted to be here, she's the one that encouraged me to audition in the first place, but it didn't hurt any less.

"Knock it off, Hazza. It's our first live performance tomorrow and you're really killing the excitement."

"Shut it, Lou." I told him annoyed.

"I've got a girl, too. I know how you feel."

"No, you don't. Unlike yours, mine can't be here tomorrow. She hasn't been able to meet you and the rest of the lads. I'm just scared this whole X Factor thing is gonna tear us apart."

He nodded his head then pat me on the back. When he was gone I tried calling her again, but it went straight to voicemail. C'mon Ari, pick up the phone. I called one more time and this time she answered.

"Hi, cutie."

Her voice just instantly relieved me, "Hey, pretty girl. What are you doing?"

"Where are you? I can barely hear, do you think you can head out of wherever you are?"

I looked around and noticed a few people lingering around, going outside of the arena would make it all more quiet. "Alright, on my way now. Tell me about your day while I get there."

"Okay, well first, I was stuck in line behind this kid who kept crying. He wouldn't shut up-"

"Be nice, Ari. You love kids." I was almost towards the exit by now.

"Actually, you love kids, but anyways the flight wasn't better. I'm literally running on 4 hours of sleep and I apologize in advance if I look like shit, but the cab ride didn't help with that either-"

What? What on earth is she talking about? "Are we video chatting today? Was that planned? Sorry, I completely-"

I couldn't finish the sentence because the sight in front of me left me speechless. The phone was still pressed to my ear and I heard her sweet words, "No video chat planned, i'd rather we see each other face to face. Couldn't miss your big performance, I know how much it means to you. Surprise, baby."

I still couldn't move, "That's no way to act when your girlfriend just sat through a 13 our flight to be here. Get your ass over here and kiss me."

That seemed to knock me into my senses. I put the phone down and walked right up to her, hugging her like there was no tomorrow. I only pulled away to kiss her.

"I missed you so much." I told her honestly.

"Me too."

"I can't believe- you said you couldn't- Wow." She smiled in response and kissed me again. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

She took me to lunch right after and let me tell her all about the lads, the show, the contestants home. I've told her all of it before, but nothing beat seeing her reactions as I told her it all. That's how it is with Ari, no matter what I say, she gives me her undivided attention and shows interest. I may only be 16, but I know for sure that she was the one. I, Harry Edward Styles, am completely and undeniably in love with Ariana Grande Butera. I would love nothing more than to marry this girl the second I can afford to buy her the ring she deserves. We're young, but there was no reason to put off the inevitable.
