Dedicated especially to the girls there. Who'll know why it's dedicated to them in the first few sentences. :P

ALEXIS'S P.O.V.
Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up the phone
I groaned and turned my alarm off. I know, who uses The Lazy Song, by Bruno Mars, as an alarm? Well, I do. It sure didn't make me any more eager to get out of bed. So I decided I just wouldn't. Skipping one day of classes wouldn't kill me. I turned around, snuggling into my pillow, and immediately fell asleep again.
It was twenty to seven on that same morning - the morning after the last full moon night -, when my mother entered my room. "Wake up sleepy head, you need to get to school." I groaned again. Count on mom to ruin my happiness at skipping. Her voice was deceptively sweet, but even with my eyes tightly shut, I could almost see her huge smirk. I had almost made up my mind to utterly ignore her when I felt the covers be cruelly ripped away from my body. My eyes snapped open to glare at my now laughing mother. She just dropped them on the floor and went out.
Ugh, I just hated when she did that. I felt awful after my sleepless night. I had come back at dawn, after spending the night with the pack. That's to say, about an hour before. I think it was quite easy to understand why I was feeling like that. I laid in my bed for a few more minutes before giving up and finally making my way to the bathroom to get ready. There was no way in hell mom would let me stay home. I put on a plain jeans and t-shirt set, absolutely not in the mood to dress up any more than that, and pulled my hair up on a high ponytail. I couldn't be bothered to put any makeup on. But then again, that wasn't really unusual.
My parents were in the kitchen when I went down to have breakfast. They both laughed when I pretended not to see them as I went to grab something from the fridge. "Don't just ignore us, Alexis, we got up early just to talk to you!"
I shook my head and suppressed a yawn. "Yeah, right." I turned around to face them. "Good moornig to you guys who do NOT have to go to school." Geez, I had to start controlling my sarcasm. Even I could tell that I was unbearable just after getting out of bed in normal situations, but that was over the edge even for me.
It was a good thing my parents didn't mind. Their grins just got bigger at my mood. "No, seriously. We wanted to tell you that your first Alpha lesson will be today, at six. The Council will be here, so try not to be late, ok?"
That was enough to cheer me up, even if just a bit. Admittedly, I was dying to start those lessons. "Sure. I gotta go, see you later." I kissed them both in cheek before grabbing my bag and running out to my car. I hadn't lied, I actually had to be off.
When I got to the school, I realized that not only my... nightlife, but also my day to day life would change now that I knew I was Alpha of the local werewolf pack. As I made my way to my locker with Kate, just like I did every day, all the wolves greeted me with a slight, inconspicuous head bow. Some of them hadn't even talked to me before! Derek actually came to say hi to me. "Hey there Alex! Kate. So, we have a meeting in the woods after school today. I don't think you know where it is, so Peter and I can wait for you if you want."
I smiled at him. Where did THAT come from? Shouldn't an Alpha be able to find their pack on their own? Not that I cared. "I don't know about that, Derek... Doesn't Brad know where it is?" Yeah, i hadn't planned on having to actually find them. I had just thought of better company.
