So. It's Monday. Which means I'm one day late. Really sorry about that. The thing is, I'm 15, which means I need to do as my parents say. And when I was writing yesterday, my mom told me she would take the computer away from me for the whole week and turn it off without letting me save any of what I had written unless I turned it off in five minutes. So, don't hate me, ok? It wasn't really my fault. Oh! And sorry it's so short. Hope you like it anyway.
P.S.: pic on the side is of Alexis ------------------->

ANTHONY’S P.O.V.
I had the distinct feeling that I was being watched. That was why I couldn’t really concentrate on my dinner. Mom seemed to be having the same problem. She kept looking out the window, her eyes constantly sweeping the garden. I got back to my food, trying to ignore the feeling that something wasn’t right. When I did not succeed and ended up looking up again, confusion was what I felt.
Mom was glaring at something within the woods. Or at someone. As I watched, she crossed her forehead with her index finger, trying to make it seem like she was tugging her hair behind her ear. Somehow, I knew it was something else. *Who’s she challenging?* I had no idea where that had come from. It didn’t even make sense. She wasn’t challenging anyone! Then her eyes got wide all of a sudden, making me even more confused. What the hell was going on? After two seconds or so, she relaxed a bit and went back to her food.
I couldn’t hold back my curiosity any more. I wanted to ask her about her behaviour, and I almost did, but something stopped me. I couldn’t tell what it was. A distant voice sounded in my head as I tried to decide what to do. *Look outside* was I going mad now? I did as the voice said anyway. Looking in the direction mom had been watching, I thought I saw the glow of a pair of eyes. One second later, though, they were gone. Maybe I was really going crazy. I shook my head to try and clear it before going back to my food.
ALEXIS’S P.O.V.
I sat there for over three hours, but I wasn’t complaining. Not while I could be surrounded by his overwhelming scent, or see him when he was by one of the windows, or hear his heartbeat. It was as if I had never been happy until I had felt that.
When all lights were out, and I could hear the slow pace of my mate’s breath, I finally heard the back door open and close quietly. In a second, she was standing in front of me. I looked up into her eyes, but didn’t leave my position on the damp floor. “What do you want here?”
I had expected her to be defensive, but the way she spoke made me think she had had problems with another pack before. I looked up at her son’s bedroom window without thinking about it. “My name’s Alexis, I’m the Head Alphas’ daughter.” I tried to stall, not knowing what to say.
She rolled her eyes impatiently. “Mary Adams. You still didn’t answer the question. Why are you here?”
I sighed. Guess that would have to happen sooner or later. “I didn’t want to be so direct, Mrs Adams, but I guess I’d better just say it. Your son is my mate. I’m sure you understand why I would, in no better words, spy on him.”
She relaxed visibly as soon as she heard the word mate. When I finished, she sat on the ground in front of me. “Actually, I do. I’m sorry; I was just worried that you might be here to attack my family. My pack kicked me out when they found out my mate was human, making me a rogue, and our kind doesn’t really love rogues, as you probably know. When you returned the challenge with the Alpha sign, I thought we were doomed.” She admitted.
So she HAD had problems with other wolves before. “Yeah, well. Sorry about that. I shouldn’t actually be stalking him, but I can’t help it. Especially because he can’t shift. I just feel like I need to protect him or something, so I just need to be near him. It’s kind of frustrating, actually.” She had given me a piece of her mind, so I gave her a piece of mine. Which reminded me of the first thing I wanted to ask her. “What’s his name?”
Surprise took her eyes. “Anthony. How long have you been here?”
Anthony… I mused. Why would she care how long I had been there? “Here as in, your garden, or here as in, this town?” I didn’t wait for her answer, shaking my head. “I got to town a bit before five. And here, I arrived about two minutes before you saw me. I got a room in the hotel up front.”
She smiled then. “Coincidence? Or did you get it just to watch my son?” there was no judgement in her words, just curiosity. I felt ashamed anyway.
“To watch him. I can’t stay away. By the way… could you tell me about him? I guess the more I know about him the better.”
She nodded. “He’s eighteen.” She thought for a moment. “Hm… he’s shy, doesn’t like being with a lot of people… I guess he never really fit in.” she looked kind of sad for a moment, but then she smiled slightly. “But I always knew he’d be different. He’s the only one of my kids who actually smells like a wolf.”
I laughed, realizing she was right. The girls only had the slightest wolfish scent, almost as if they were only a quarter wolves, and not a half. “I hadn’t noticed that before, but you’re right! I guess it’s because he’s stronger. He has to be anyway, he’ll be Head Alpha soon. But I don’t want to think about that right now. I want to know all I can about my mate. How’s he with… girls?”
She laughed as I felt Luna push my control over her, letting her jealousy seep into me. *Get a grip, Luna! It’s not like I’ve never kissed a boy.* “Possessive much? Don’t bother being jealous. I don’t think he’s ever even kissed a girl. He usually can’t even be around them decently. What about you, She-Wolf Alexis? How are you with boys?”
I blushed, feeling awfully guilty. My mate was a social pariah, and I… well, no. “I had a boyfriend for two years, but I broke up with him about a month ago, when I left home to find my…” I looked up at his window again. She looked confused. “…mate. He’s a were too, so he should understand.”
He hadn’t, though. She frowned. “But you haven’t… you know… done it, have you?” What? What was she… OH.
I blushed bright red when I understood what she meant. “No! No, hell, no!” OMG, that was so embarrassing! I mean, my soon-to-be mother in law was bluntly questioning me about my freaking sex life! It doesn’t get any more awkward than that! *I bet you’re glad I never let you and that boy go any further now, aren’t you?* I did my best to ignore Luna.
We spent a few hours talking, until her husband appeared at their bedroom window. I was worried that I might have caused something bad between them, but she assured me that he knew she was a werewolf, and that she had told him why she was coming out. One way or the other, I left as soon as she went inside, to get some sleep. My day would be long.
