Thanks a lot for commenting, Bia! I thought about dedicating this chapter to theresabunchofus again, but the guys there disappoint me, so this one's dedicated only to you.

ALEXIS'S P.O.V.

I was laughing my head off in the car ride with Brad and Kate. All the best times I ever had were with those two. It had always been that way, and I loved it. We were all still laughing when we dropped Kate off at her place before heading towards the woods. We fell silent when she left, but it was a comfortable silence, one that allowed us to think privately for a while. Not so much, but I wouldn't go sneaking in his head unless he wanted me to. Since I'd shifted, I'd actually been trying my best to tune everyone out. When you heard thoughts, it wasn't uncommon to stumble across some things you'd rather have not listened.

He parked at the end of the dirt road down which we had been going. "We'll run for here, the car doesn't go through." I nodded at him as we got out of the car, both of us shifting. As soon as I let Luna take control of our body, I dropped my guard to listen in to my pack's thoughts.

That was when I heard Luna. *I wanna try something.* She recoiled slightly back into our mind, not giving away all the control to me nor keeping it all to herself. It was the weirdest feeling of all, that I was at the same time in control of my body and trapped inside my mind. But when I got over the initial shock, it actually felt good. I couldn't think of a better way to describe the whole two creatures being one thing than what we were doing right then.

I shifted back into my human, pushing Luna aside gently, as I entered the clearing where my pack was gathered. Another good thing that had surprised me was that. I had always thought that, IF werewolves existed, their clothes would just be torn to pieces when they shifted, but no. I guess I could only call it magic, but for some reason our clothes actually stayed on us when we shifted. Where they went though, was a complete mystery to me.

It was only instinct that made me walk up and sit down between Derek and Peter, at my rightful Alpha spot, but Brad didn't look pleased. And, judging by the huge smirk that appeared on Derek's face, he was just a bit too much so. Oh well. I just sighed. They would have to get used to it eventually. *You know, Alexis, I can't help but think that I like Brad even less than I like Derek. At least he's honest about being a jerk. But Brad has something... I don't know, as if he was hiding something... It just leaves me on edge. Actually, it always has.*

The comparison with Derek surprised me, but the fact that she didn't like Brad was far from it. I mean, I had been going out with him or over a year, but my consciousness - a pretty way of saying Luna - had never let me... go any further than a make out session with him. That was pretty much the only reason for me to still be a virgin at eighteen. *I know you don't like him, but he's not just my boyfriend. You know he's my best guy friend too. So could you just put up with him? For me?* She didn't even answer. Not that she had to. She had been putting up with him since I had met him. Her comment was nothing but that - a comment.

"So Derek, is there a reason for us to be here?" The people in the circle laughed. I had meant it, though.

"Yeah, of course! We're here 'cause it's the first day after your first shift week. That means that today is officially your first day as Luna, so you need to get to know our pack. Unless you already know EVERYONE, which I highly doubt you do."

I looked around and realized that he was right. I had seen all of those people at least once, but I had never really talked to most of them. Immediately, I felt guilty about that. What kind of Alpha couldn't even name all the wolves in their pack? *A new one.* I looked up at Derek, slightly surprised. He winked at me. "No one expects you to know everyone and everything straight away Alexis. That's why we're here."
