 ALEXIS’S P.O.V.

*Relax Ally. It’s just Mary and her mate. You’ll be all right.* *What if his dad doesn’t like me? what if his sisters don’t like me? What if… oh, you’re right, I need to get a grip.*

I took a deep breath before straightening out my skirt and finally ringing the doorbell. I had been standing by the door for over a minute, and I knew Mary ad Tony were aware of it. I was sure that if Derek was there he’d be laughing his head off at my weakness.

My mate opened the door with a smirk on his face. He gave me a quick peck on the lips and then hugged me, so that he could whisper in my ear. “And I thought I was nervous on our first date. But I was only by the door for about half a minute. Chillax babe, I’m here for you.” Oh, great, even my own mate was making fun of me.

I was too nervous to even answer, so I let him take my hand and lead me into the living room. His father was sitting on the armchair and his sisters in the sofa, all looking at us expectantly. I managed to put a shy smile on my face as he made the introductions. “Dad, girls, this is my girlfriend, Alexis. Ally, these are my dad and my sisters, Annie and Julie.”

“Hello. Nice to meet you, Alexis. Anthony told me a lot about you.” My almost father-in-law’s voice was just what I had imagined, deep and loud.

I nodded once, smiling a bit wider. “It’s nice to meet you too, Mr Adams.” *Oh, good, you finally found your voice.* *Luna! My situation’s bad enough without you making sarcastic comments. SHUT UP!*

He smiled at me. “Oh, no, call me Reid, dear.” It was funny how he treated me as if I was already part of the family. It made me a whole lot more confident.

“Thank you, Reid.” We shared a smile, and then I turned my attention to the twins. “Hey! I heard a lot about you two.”

They smiled two identical smiles at me. “Hey. We were wondering when Tony was going to let us meet you. I’m Annie, by the way.” “Yeah, we wanted to know who was the girl our brother can’t shut up about.”

Tony glared at her. “Julie!” She just put her tongue out at him.

I laughed, holding his hand tighter. “Well, I hope you’re not disappointed. I’d hate to be on my boyfriend’s sisters’ bad side.”

They both grinned at me and raised their eyebrows at Tony, but it was Julie who spoke. “Well, that’s more than HE does.” “Don’t worry, as long as you don’t hurt Tony, we’ll like you.” Annie completed.

I smiled at how cute they were. “I’d never hurt your brother, don’t worry.”

Tony rolled his eyes at them. “All right, you little devils. No more embarrassing me. Come on Ally, let’s go see what mom’s doing.” I chuckled and followed him into the kitchen.

We got in just as Mary was taking off her apron. She smiled when she saw us, putting it on the counter. “So this is the famous Alexis. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, darling.” She bit her lip not to laugh at her obvious pretence.

I smiled innocently. “Same here, Mrs Adams. You have a beautiful house.” I was laughing inside myself. It really was hilarious to be aware that Tony knew we had already met and act like we hadn’t for him anyway.

He dropped my hand and ran his through his hair, rolling his eyes. “Shut it, you two. You’ll make me go crazy with all this acting. I know you’ve even exchanged numbers already, so there’s really no point.”

Mary put her hands on her hips then, looking mad. I was trying my best not to laugh. “Is that right? Very well then, Anthony. Can I talk to you for a minute, Alex?”
