I packed a little duffle bag and got my school stuff as well. I looked down the hall and my mom was too busy on the phone running her mouth to Lucinda her best friend to notice me come out with the bag. Where you going Aracely, Roman said coming out of their bedroom. Vi's house! With a bag? Yeah mama said I could stay the night over there the rest of the week. We pulled up to the corner of the street where Cely lives and she was at the corner with her stuff. Why you at the corner? Cause I didn't feel like waiting in the house. Good girl we gon turn up cause you know our mama's is gone and the other two let us get away with everything. Wait Mama Jay and Mama Li gone the whole week? Yup they left on Sunday. Where they go this time? Don't know she didn't tell us. Must be nice to vacation like that, she said looking out the window.
