I was being super quiet as I snuck down the stairs to the kitchen get something to eat. They weren't too off with the assumption that I was pregnant. I am not but this damn medication the doctor gave me makes me feel like it. Have me craving all kinds of shit that I wouldn't normally eat. I finally made it to the kitchen and let out a sigh. I went in the fridge looking for something to snack on. Perfect there was a cheese tray with olives this is exactly what I need not to heavy and they won't smell it on me. I looked out into the living area and saw someone sitting on the couch. I made me a small plate before heading into the living room to see who it was.

Nia! No it's me her mom said looking up at me. Oh what you doing in here I thought everyone was asleep already. It's hard for me to sleep in a different place. Oh okay, you mind if I join you. You really want to talk to me? I know we haven't always gotten along but for the sake of Nia and Charli we should try. She nodded, Why don't you like me? Who told you I didn't like you? Well it's pretty obvious you don't I mean you've never invited me to any of the little family things yall do. To be honest it feels like you trying to steal my daughter from me. Seriously you think I am trying to steal your daughter? All I did was show her what it's like to have a mother figure in her life. Which was at her request not mine. And as far as inviting you to family events honestly you never gave an inkling that you cared to come to the family events. I offered to help plan Nia's baby shower. No you said you would plan it and then two weeks before you backed out so what was I supposed to do? My daughter talks to you more than she talks to me. That's a personal issue Cassandra that you need to take up with Nia not me.

Hey what's going on in here mama said coming into the living room. Damn now she's woken her up I thought to myself. Nothing mama! Cassandra just rolled her eyes at me. Nothing huh then why can I hear yall arguing all the way in my room? I am just going to go...No you're going to sit down mama said to Cassandra. Now look here I invited you on this trip for a reason. I am tired of you two fighting like this, yall are grown ass women. Mama! Jay'mee did I ask you to speak? No ma'am. As I was saying you two are grown women with children and grandchildren, grow up and put the petty shit to the side. With all due respect Ms. Lo I don't understand why she can't respect my position as Nia's mother. I don't respect it! I... I took a deep breath before going off on this woman.

Cassandra I do respect your position as Nia's mother. If it wasn't for me pushing your daughter to respect your position do you actually think you'd even be involved in her life right now? Jay'mee! No mama she's not going to put all this shit on me like I came in trying to turn her daughter on her. I didn't and I tell Nia all the time she needs to work on her relationship with you and the fact that she hasn't isn't my fault so please cut the disrespecting your position shit cause I don't have time for it. She looked at me and then mama before leaving the living room going back to her and Nia's room. Jay'mee Nichole! Mama seriously I am tired of it, I am tired of taking the brunt of everything. Just calm down okay I don't need you upset. You have to take a little of the blame Jay'mee because you and Nia do tend to leave people out of stuff. Mama! I get it she's like your best friend but she has a mother and maybe you need to back off a tad bit and let Cassandra be Nia's mother. Maybe you're right I said looking at the plate. Hey I understand how you are feeling, but yourself in her shoes how would you feel if someone did that to you with Santana? I'd be pissed. Exactly! Thanks mama I said kissing her cheek. Mhm go on to bed now before you get in trouble. Trouble I said laughing. Yeah it's about 3:30 I guarantee one of your wives is looking for you right now. You right about that.

I went back upstairs and Lisa was tossing and turning. I climbed over Ro back into bed and as soon as she sensed I was there she calmed down and went back into a deep sleep. I woke up the next morning to Ro looking at me with her arms crossed and this pissed expression on her face. What time is it? 8:15! Everyone else up? Yeah everyone is except you. I guess I was tired. I guess you were, what happened to being on your best behavior? I have been. Really so why is Nia's mom leaving. Hell I don't know maybe she decided to go. Jay'mee don't play with me. I told you to be nice. I was nice Ro, I really was till she had the nerve to accuse me of trying to turn her daughter on her and take her spot. You of all people know that I tell Nia all the time she needs to spend time with her mom. You do I can vouch for that. You need to fix it. No I am not fixing it, Nia needs to fix that. I am done with it I said sliding out the bed.
