I was still thinking about all those college acceptance letters Charli got and why he lied to mommy telling her didn't get in. I wanna talk to him about it but I don't want him to know we were snooping in his mail. 

Mom I said stopping her as she passed by our room. Yeah sweetie what can I help you with? I have a friend and...wait you have a friend or is this a story about you? No its about my friend mom. Okay so what's up with your friends she said getting comfortable on the couch. So my friend found out that her brother got in a mad amount of colleges but won't tell their mom. Why won't he tell her? That's the thing she doesn't know, I mean he's super smart and can get into any college but he doesn't wanna go. Well maybe there is a reason he doesn't wanna go Lo. I mean college ain't for everyone, I didn't go to college and I did pretty well for myself.

Yeah but yall are different yall had a calling on yall's life the entertainment industry. Ooo chile you been with your grandmothers too long. Okay Lolo I am a settle with you college is great if its for you at that time. But sometimes its not for everyone. I didn't go, Titi didn't go, the only two that went were Jay and Ro. Jay was the only one that finished and that's because she busted her ass to do it. Well Char... I mean my friend's brother should go to college he's smart mom. She looked at me and then chuckled, Lo being smart ain't all it takes to going to college you have to have the right mind set for that. 

The right mind set? Yeah because you will deal with all kinds of stuff, it ain't a Different world with Dewayne and Whitley. Mr. Gaines not working in the Pit and Letti and Jalessa will not cover your ass if you get in trouble. Oh gosh mom you have to go through all the cast members? Yes there will be no Maggie, Kim, Freddy, Ron, Charmaine, Lena, Cor. Taylor, and definitely there will be no Denise Huxtable. I got it mom. 

And most importantly if you aren't ready there won't be a mom or an aunt there to bail you out she said smiling at me. Thanks mom. No problem, We're gonna go grab some stuff from the store you want anything? Yeah actually I do. What you need? I gave her a list of things that I wanted from the store. Damn Lo you got the munchies or something? Mom! What only folks who getting high eat that much. And your ass better not be getting high. Of course not mom! Mhm she said looking at me suspiciously. When are mommy and Roro coming back? Tomorrow night they already called and requested curbside pickup. Yeah I doubt that will happen.

Mom is going to the store did you give her your list Chase said coming into the room. Yes ma'am I did. Can I stay here with you, I am not trying to go to the store with them, Shi and Nicholas. I know every time they go they fight. Yeah and then I get blamed for it she said rolling her eyes. Chase let me ask you something. Okay she said sitting on the couch. What do you think of Charli not going to college? He's not going I thought he was gonna go to community college. I mean him not going to a University? Oh well it's kind of weird because he's really smart like really smart. But maybe he's not ready for college either. How you know? Cause mommy said it was really hard when she did it. And you know sometime he's lazy. You are so right about that.

Charli that's a lot of colleges why aren't you gonna go? College ain't really for me Nia. Who says you're a straight A student and took AP classes. Yeah because my aunt made me take them I didn't want to take them classes. I would have been perfectly fine in a regular class. Babe I highly doubt that you're a different type of student you would have been bored out of your mind in a regular class. I don't know I already told my aunt I didn't get into any schools. Wait you lied to her. I did because she's always so hard on me so I know if I'd had told her that I got into so many she would of went crazy talking about which one I was gonna go to. And that's a bad thing Charli, she actually cares about your future. Everyone isn't as lucky as you to have a support system like that.
