I was sleeping good, all over Jay like I normally do when my phone started ringing. Luckily my ass had it on vibrate. All I could think is this better not be Shawn right now cause I was not in the mood to deal with him or explain who was calling me in the middle of the night to the girls. I didn't even look at the caller id I just answered it.

Hello! Li! B! Yeah it's me, look there's been an accident and...who was in an accident? Look I need you and Ti to come to the hospital don't tell Jay you two just come. What the hell happened B? Charli...What happened to him I said sitting up and getting off of Jay? He got drunk and drove into a tree. He just got out of surgery. Damn, okay I'll be there in 20 I gotta get out of here without her knowing. Just don't tell her yet okay I gotta figure out a way to tell her. Easier said than done, you know how she is and especially about her kids. Yeah I know, tell Ro to take care of her. Alright see you in a little bit. I looked at Jay sleeping; I turned over and nudged Ro in the side a little bit.

What do you want Lisa? Shhh...I need a favor! At 5:30 in the morning? Yes, I need you to scoot over and hold on to Jay. Why? I whispered in her ear what was going on. She sat up and looked at me. Are you serious? Yeah B just called me said Ti and I need to come to the hospital but I need you make sure that she doesn't find out and if she does keep her in this house. I got it she said moving over a little bit. She gently rolled Jay over towards her as I went over to Ti's side.

Babe! Babe! Lisa someone better be dying. Shhh come on get up we gotta go to the hospital I said moving the covers off of her. Why she said looking at me confused. I'll tell you in the car just come on and put on some clothes. Well we need Jay. No not right now, let's just go. She looked at Jay laying on Ro's chest and she motioned for us to go. We grabbed some clothes and tip toed out of the room. I put in the code and we went to the car. Who is the hospital Li, Ti said stopping me before we got in the car. Charli!

I was sitting there looking at him sleep thinking how bad I fucked up in the past. All the times I ditched him for other stuff. All the times that Jay would be on my ass for not making time to come see him. I was in the same town as him and I still only managed to see him once every few months. Now I am looking at him lying this bed thinking that he may die and it's killing me. How can I be a good father to the twins, the new baby, Aracely, and Lailah if I can't even look after my first born the correct way? I heard a knock on the door before it opened and I saw Ti and Li.

Oh my god Ti said coming in the room. Li just looked down and didn't say anything. What happened to him Ti said slowly touching his bandaged head? From what Carlos told me he was going crazy over the fact that he and Nia had broken up he had half a bottle of Patron and half a bottle of Vodka. You kidding me right, Li said looking at me. That's what he said. That don't sound right Charli isn't a drinker like that. What room is Carlos in? H4 down the hall to the left. I'll be right back she said leaving the room.

I...is he going to be okay Ti said looking at him trying to hold back tears. He broke 2 ribs on his left side they barely missed puncturing his lung. Nearly shattered his knee's from the impact of hitting the tree. And's lucky that he had on a seat belt or he would shattered his chest plate. I don't get it B, I just...We've given him everything he could ever want or need.

I know Ti, I want to thank yall for that too. I should have done more, I mean I was in the same town literally 20 minutes from him and I wasn't doing what I should have been doing. Don't be hard on yourself B, Charli knows right from wrong and if he really did drink that much he knew what would happen.

There was another knock and it was the doctor coming in. Oh are you his mother? No I am his aunt one of his legal guardians, but he's over 18. Oh well I need to go over some things with yall. Okay Ti said sitting down in the chair. He's a very lucky young man. His blood level shows that it was 8 times the legal limit for the State of Georgia. Does he take any type of medication? No Charli isn't on any medication at all, Ti said. Well we found Xanax and other drugs in his system as well. Once he wakes up we will need to admit him to the drug substance program here at the hospital. Drug Substance, he's not addicted to drugs. Its standard procedure when we have patients like this. How long is the Drug Substance program? 30 days and then he'll probably be on probation for driving while intoxicated and they will probably take his licenses for a while too.
