*Charli*
What happened babe I whispered to her as we sat in my room? She sniffed before finally starting to speak. My...uhh...my father has a drinking problem and I got in the way of him and my mom fighting. You sure that's what happened I mean you got bruises all over your arms and stuff. I can't talk about it Charli I just need to stay tonight if I can. Of course you can. Here let me get you a shirt and some shorts, I said walking over to the dresser. My bathroom is right there I said pointing to the door. Thanks she said going in.
Once she went in I snuck out the room to see if any of my aunts were up. After what happened tonight I doubt they were, but it was worth a shot. I heard the shower going which meant Gigi and Titi were still up, they only ones that take "showers" at random times of the early morning. Once they are done they will knock out so I don't have to worry about them.
I went back into my room right as Nia was walking out of the bathroom. I locked my door behind me just in case someone decided to walk in my room. You can take my bed and I'll sleep on the floor. Are you sure I don't want to put you out of your bed. It's cool I don't want you to be uncomfortable if you know what I mean. After the whole incident with Danielle I think twice before I have sex with anybody. So Nia and I haven't gotten that physical only to second base but never full blown doing it.
It's okay Charli we can share the bed. Okay I said getting in the other side of the bed. We were laying there staring at each other. Thank you babe! No problem you just get some sleep and we will talk about in the morning I said kissing her cheek. I watched her fall asleep; I couldn't believe her own father would punch her in the face. And then all these bruises on her body, there was no way this was a one time occurrence. I gently rubbed her arm as I say her fall more and more into a deep sleep and before I knew I fell asleep.
*Nia*
I woke up later on to the shower going and the sun shining in on me. I slowly sat up and rubbed my side remembering what happened last night before I got here.
"Patrick you're drunk again! I... I am not drunk he said slurring his words. I am so sick of this shit Patrick and you need some damn help. I am the damn man of the house he said staggering towards her. You weren't saying anything when I took yo ass off the street when you was hoeing around. Mom! Dad! Come on please stop. Shut you ain't nothing but a little bitch, because of you I got stuck with his ass, my mom said. I sniffed a little yet I was used to her saying these types of things to me. Come on Daddy I said trying to help him get to the couch. Don't touch me you little whore he said pushing me into the wall"
That was all I remember before he started hitting me repeatedly and then he spit on me. My mom just stood there watching, she didn't move and when he was done she just rolled her eyes and walked out of the room. I gathered myself together and went to my room and wash his nasty spit off of my face before packing a tote bag and calling Charli.
I was staring into space before I realized that Charli was speaking to me. Nia! Babe you okay? No I am not Charli. You want to tell me what happened. I looked around his room and it was actually really neat. Like does he have OCD there wasn't anything out of place in his room. Babe! Huh oh are your aunts here? Yeah they are right now but they will be leaving in like an hour or so. Oh! Why don't you go take a shower and I'll bring you some breakfast okay. Okay I said sliding out of bed grabbing my tote bag.
I went his bathroom and even his bathroom was immaculate like seriously I think I've gotten involved with a for real pretty boy. All of his hygiene products were organized and what is this the toilet seat is down. I hung up my tote bag and turned on the shower. I gently slipped off the clothes, trying to avoid the fresh bruises on my abdomen, before sliding into the shower.
