Yo man we rolling out you ready! Yeah hold on I said looking at my phone as Kayla called again for the 5th time today. I knew being in a long distance relationship would be hard but damn this girl calls every day sometimes 3 times a day. If I don't answer her in the allotted amount of time she goes balls to the wall and starts accusing me of cheating with every girl on campus.

Hello! Why it take you so long to answer the phone? Really you starting out with an attitude already I just answered the phone. I just wanted to know why it took you so long to answer. What can I help you with Kayla? Who's there with you? Nobody damn why you tripping? You know what forget you she said hanging up the phone. I looked at the phone shaking my head before sticking it back in my pocket and heading out to hoop with the guys.

Man yo girl be blowing you up, DJ said as we walked down to the courts. I know I don't get it when we were back in ATL she wasn't like that, it's like she don't trust me. Damn dawg you been here for almost 2 and half years though I mean you ain't seeing anybody right to make her think that. No I am not. That's a damn lie I saw you with that little freak the other night what was her name Jessica, Eric said slapping my back.

I know what yall thinking not the crazy broad that tried to kill herself in your living room. I know and I didn't expect it to happen either but I ran into her a few months back when me and the guys took a weekend trip to NY to see Lo and Vi. She'd changed big time she wasn't on that same bull she was on back in high school. She seemed real chill and was actually going to school over in Maryland.

Aye that's my business! Yeah you gon get the business if Kayla find out about her! Jessica and I are just friends, that's it nothing more. Friends huh, so friends sleep in each other's beds and wear each other's clothes? You playing Tron I know you boned that girl. Maybe then again maybe not I said grabbing the ball from him. We played a few games of ball before going back to our townhouse. Dorm life was not for me so as soon as I made the required year of staying there I peaced out and had Jay find us a sweet townhouse close to campus but not to close that we still had to deal with the drama of underclassman. Of course ya boy got the master with the private entrance and the big ass bathroom so when I do have "friends" over everybody and they mama won't know about it. As I left the bathroom I felt hands cover my eyes. Come on now really! Guess who! Jennifer Lopez! You got jokes! Hey Jessica when you get here? While you were in the shower she said looking over my chest. Now Jessica you know! Yeah I know you got a girlfriend please don't remind me. I thought you was seeing old dude, what's his name Hector or some shit. 

Things between me and him didn't work out she said lying across my bed. Word what happened? I just wasn't feeling him you know the whole race thing. Race, Jessica you are biracial what's that got to do with anything? His family wasn't cool with me being a little too proud of my black side and not enough of my Latino side. So you telling me these folks didn't like you because you didn't rep your Spanish side. Pretty much, they are proud Mexicanos and the fact that I don't' rep my Mexican side infuriates them. That's too crazy to me I mean you are more than just Mexican I mean isn't your mom half that and Venezuelan? She is and my dad is black and Italian so why do I have to pick a definite side of the race line? You don't! See you understand it's not all about race. It's not I mean look at my family we every shade of yellow, brown, and white. Yeah yall are, how is the family?

Good they doing their thang back in Atlanta. Your sisters and cousin move back yet? Naw I believe Vi still has another 7 months till she's finished and then I am not sure if she is going to stay in New York or go back. I know for sure Cely is going back her little sister been straight tripping these last few years and her mom can't handle her no more. What about Lo? I don't know I think she likes New York but I also think that she loved LA too so I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up back over there. That's cool she said nodding her head. You got something on your mind don't you? She looked at me and I instantly knew the look.
