Rachels pov :
After a not talking to Shelby for a couple of weeks I decided it was finally time to say something. Quinn was out with Puck so it was just me and Shelby. I came down stairs to see her in the kitchen.

"Rachel hi!" She said suprised to see me.

"Hey , can we talk?" I asked her.

"Of course take a seat." She told me.

"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked me.

"I wanted to apoligize to you for the way I acted . I know you were just trying to do what was best for me even if it meant lying." I told her.

She looked at me and sighed,

"Rachel, I was young when I got pregnant with you and I was neive and scared . I couldn't be a mother and I wanted to give you the best chance in life as possible. " She told me.

"Yeah right ." I said sarcastically getting up.

"I don't what you need from me Rachel!" She yelled at me.

" I needed you ! Where were you Shelby ! Where were you for 16 years of my life! Huh? I needed you and you weren't there! My dads were my only family and half the time they weren't even there! You never ever came back to see me . You never were there! Ever! I needed you and you weren't there! So don't ask me what I need because you already know what I needed! I needed my mom! I needed you!" I yelled furiously at her crying.

We were both silent and crying. I felt this huge weight off my shoulders suddenly.

"Maybe its too late for us Rachel ." She said , "Maybe we're not meant to be in eachothers life." She told me.

I looked at her and she got up and was about to walk away when I said ,

"Don't walk away. " I told her.

She turned around and I stood up and wiped my tears,

"I need you Shelby, I need you to stay with me and be my mom , please I'm begging you don't leave me. " I told her.

She looked at me and walked up to me and held my cheeks ,

"You don't Rachel, you never have , and maybe this our way of saying goodbye. " She said.

I shook my head no . She kissed my forehead and then left me in the kitchen .
