^Chasing Cars~Snow Patrol -- I thought of Grey's Anatomy when I picked this song lolz
Evie's POV
Sitting in the waiting room was torture. When I walked in, I told them that all the girls with me needed attention immediately. I didn't know if that was true but, considering their circumstances, it probably was. They, of course, were all pulled away almost immediately, leaving me alone... Catching a nurse's attention, I ask if Ben could see anyone. This was like the 10th time I've asked to see him. Finally, I got the pity 'I'll try to sneak you in before he has to go to his CT scan.' I knew she wasn't supposed to let me in, but she also didn't see the harm in it.
"Hey Ben," I say softly as I approach his bedside.
"Hey Evie, I love you." He smiles weakly.
"Wow, getting right to the point." I laugh a little, hugging him.
"Ah, Ev-" he groaned, pulling his entire left side away from me, or at least as far away from my grasp as possible.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." I scramble off of him. The nurse is standing in the doorway, just waiting. "Sorry," I mumble to her.
"It's okay, but we have to go now." She goes over to Ben and help him into a wheelchair.
"What's wrong with his legs?" I ask, stupidly.
"Nothing, but he may be experiencing pain, and we don't want him to fall as it could make things worse." The nurse explains. I only nod as she wheels him out the door.
Ben's POV
After finishing up with the CT scan and finding out that I'm lucky to not me internally bleeding, I am pumped up full of pain meds. I think I hear them say something about the meds being necessary for when I come out of shock. I couldn't comprehend much from then on. Maybe I heard something about Tommi's room being put across the hall from me or something. I'm not sure.
I'm having a great time in this strange world between consciousness and subconsciousness. I can hear things very clearly, like the beeps of the monitor next to me, yet, the sounds of the nurses' voices around me all melt together in a very interesting symphony. If I try very hard, I can focus my eyes on one thing, but then everything around it becomes a blur. Looking out of the window, I think I see a face that looks all too familiar. Seeing him sends a sickening feeling to settle across my body. Why on earth would Alex be here? Not long after, while trying to convince myself it was all a horrible hallucination, I pass out, giving into the drugs, letting them take me away.
A/N: Homework sucks... This story is, indeed, coming to a close soon. What would you think of a telling of the story from another point of view (other than Ben and Evie) maybe like Alex's, Cassie's, or idk? Thoughts?
Comment what you think comes next! Also-Please comment asking question's if you are confused. I will try to answer them unless it conflicts with any future reveals in this story.
What do you guys think of the story so far? I really want to know. Also, if you think you know how I could improve the story in any way... Tell me! I won't get offended. I'm trying to improve my writing, so any feedback helps.
Message me if you are good at writing story descriptions. I kinda want to fix this one up a bit.
