"Evelyn Wilson please come to the office. Evelyn Wilson to the office." The annoyed secretary's voice says over the school's intercom system. Suddenly, all eyes were on me. The classroom was filled with silence. I look over to the teacher, who gave me a nod. Packing up my stuff, I leave the room and head down to the office.
"Ev!" A frantic Ben stops me one hallway away from the office, pulling me into a space between locker sets.
"What is it?" I whisper. I don't want anyone to hear and catch us.
"I don't have a good feeling about this." Ben says, worriedly.
"I don't either, but I have to go. I don't want the both of us to get in trouble." I reply, hoping to calm him down. He only nods in response. I step out of the hall and head back towards the office.
I walk in and the secretary just points to the door reading 'Principal Gil Martin'. I not and knock on the door.
"Evelyn?" He calls from inside the door.
"Yes" I reply through the door.
"Come in" he calls. As I walk in, I immediately have to fight my urge to run. Sitting in a chair across from Principal Martin, is Erik. "Come sit" Principal Martin gestures for me to sit in a chair next to Erik. I reluctantly sit.
"Hello Evie" Erik purrs. Ew. Can he not?
"I've been informed that you have been giving Erik, here, a hard time." Principal Martin says.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I retort.
"Oh yes you do." He replies.
"Don't worry, we'll fix that now." Erik says with a sick smile on his face.
"Yes," Principal Martin buts in, "I am reassigning your schedule so that you'll have all of your classes with either Erik, Paul, Alex, or Jarrod. It's not that big of a change, but it's a change nonetheless."
"Excuse me? Why?" I ask, alarmed at this entire situation.
"Because, even I, as your principal, have noticed your reluctance to conform to the norm Erik has been trying to set for you."
"I don't care. Why should I care?"
"You will care if you value your education." Principal Martin says. Without anyone's response, he continues, "I'm tired of teaching. I wish to be an entrepreneur. I've set up a little system within this school to deal with problem students. You will soon notice a change in your classes. My partner assures me that these problem students will be dealt with."
"What does your partner mean by 'dealt with'?" I ask. I see Erik's smirk grow bigger as I try to figure out what's going on.
"Your goal is not to find out." Principal Martin says simply. He shoos us away and I quickly walk out of his office. Once I'm down the hall that Ben had stopped me at, I feel Erik pull me back by my hips.
"What the hell!" I yell. Earning me Erik's nasty hand over my mouth. He pushes me against the lockers with his arm pushing on my neck, his hand readjusting over my mouth.
"Listen up angel, I'm tired of you being a pain in the ass. You will get your new schedule tomorrow, and you will sit next to me in each class. Do you understand?" I nod. "Good. One more thing. No complaining of any kind. Do you understand?" I nod again. He lets me go and I run out to my car. How is Ben going to react to this? How am I going to be able to handle this?
A/N: Dang. More info on Principal Gil Martin's secret agenda. Comment what you think comes next? How is Erik involved with the principal's agenda? How will Ben react to the news? How will Evie do with Erik's demands?
