October 16th

The early wake up call that i got from Kim Jong Kook was probably the reason why my mood was unexceptionally moody this morning. Plus, a very bad headache that i kept on having lately. Sometimes, it was unbearable. Not even a large dose of painkillers could ease the pain away.
I was rearranging several bottles of mineral water when several of my colleagues were seemed to be in a hurry. At first, i tried to ignore their squeals in delight until i saw a group of three men, wearing an expensive looking suit strolled along the aisle where the dairy product was.
Sharp nose, sexy looking jaw and tanned skin. His hard build body seemed to be suitable in a black suit. A familiar looking figure.
Shit. Kim Jong Kook.
I cursed loudly, without any intentions of doing so, when several heavy bottles of mineral water landed on my left foot. Heads turned at my direction but i was busy picking up the bottles and one of them rolled across the floor, and stopped, right in front of Kim Jong Kook. Pretending not to recognise him, i apologised at my clumsiness as i retrieved the bottle in embarrassment.
"Miss?" His voice was heard and it wasnt a greeting. Kim Jong Kook looked strict and stern. There were no sign of friendliness nor his usual warm voice that i used to hear.
"Yes, sir?" As i turned and we were face to face.
He read my name tag and my supervisor and several of my colleagues were watching. He nodded and said,"I heard that you got mistakenly fired. Im sorry, for the inconvenience that ive caused you."
Eh? What was he playing at? I watched him left and no doubt, there was going to be another meeting held since my manager looked frightened when she was called into the meeting room at the office on the third floor.
I resumed my duties and it was almost lunch break, five more minutes to go, and i began to plan on where and what to eat, since this morning, after he left, i overslept.
Not even a bite for breakfast, i was practically starving for some food.
Two cups of instant ramyeon were the only thing that i could manage. As i ate my lunch, only then i realised that I had promised to meet up with Ajusshi for lunch. I was on my way to the café where i was supposed to be meeting him but then, i was greeted by a familiar looking girl who seemed to recognise me.
"Its me!" She squealed in delight,"Ye Jin!"
Oh. Ye Jin, my senior whom i worked with for awhile after i graduated a few years back.
"I couldnt recognised you, sunbae," i told her honestly and it was true. She was tomboyish back then but now, she was dressed elegantly like how women in their 30s should dress up.
"Lunch break?" She asked,"Stil got time for a little chit chat?"
I peered through the glass window just in case Kim Jong Kook was there but he was nowhere to be seen. I nodded.
My last half an hour of lunch break was spent entirely with her, asking how life was and obviously, she was doing much better than i am as she just became a resident doctor at a nearby hospital. A pang of jealousy swept across me and i chose to ignore it completely. I was about to tell her that i need to go back to work when she asked me for a favour.
"A blind date?" I repeated.
"My parents kept asking me to go, somehow, i blurted out that i'll be going for a blind date myself this weekend," Ye Jin told me sheepishly.
"You lied?"
"I had no choice, i had to. And i need your help," Ye Jin said,"Do you have any male friend who is currently single and wants to attend a random blind date? My parents will be checking up on me, thats for sure."
Kim Jong Kook. The first name that came across my mind. I nodded and told Ye Jin not to worry about it. I asked for her phone number before i leave for work.
"Meet me after work," i typed out a message on my phone before sending it over to Kim Jong Kook. I didnt wait for his reply and resumed back my work. I was too engrossed with the task that was given by my supervisor and that was the only way to make sure that i dont regularly checked upon the time. Suddenly i felt that i need to get home as soon as possible and rest as long as i could. It was near closing time and i literally had to drag my feet. Exhausted with today's work and annoyed with Kim Jong Kook as well. I spent at least two hours waiting for him across the road and he didnt even show up. I checked my phone every now and then before finally giving up and went straight home.
Upon reaching the apartment parking lot, i saw a familiar looking car and i got a hunch. Kim Jong Kook's car. The window near the driver's seat was rolled down about two inch and he was seen taking a nap.
No wonder he didnt show up.
"Im so sorry," he said to me,"I was too tired."
The exhaustion i felt earlier vanished, somehow.
