November 1st, 2nd

The loud sound of car honking jerk me awake.
"Mr. Kim Jong Kook, we're here," Hyo Rin said, suppressing a smile at the sight of me.
"Where?" I asked.
"Busan," she said.
Eh? How on earth did we get here so fast? As i stepped out from the car, we were parked right in front of a suburban home. The road was a small one and there were barely any lamp post. The only lamp post were a few feet away from us.
I checked upon the time and it was already 2.30a.m.
"You drove all the way here?" I asked her, helping her out taking the luggage from the boot.
"No," she replied, sarcastically,"It was Jae Joong of JYJ. I think you know him."
"Ha ha, funny. Very witty," i narrowed my eyes at her,"Why didnt you wake me up?"
"I did. I tried waking you up," Hyo Rin said.
"And?"
"I didnt want to waste my energy anymore. So, i just let you sleep on," Hyo Rin said, shivering slightly,"Its getting cold. The better we get inside, the better."
Hyo Rin unlocked the front door and followed her wake, entering the house. Perhaps it was left unattended for such a long time, there were spider webs at the corner of the ceilings but surprisingly, the house doesnt smell mouldy at all.
Wondering whose house it might be and the moment i saw a few family potraits that were hung neatly in the wall, my questions were answered on its own. A picture of a married couple and the man strikingly resembled Hyo Rin. Especially his facial features.
"You can use my bedroom, at the end of the hallway," Hyo Rin came into the living room,"Ah, okay."
"You look so much like your father," i said.
"I've been told," she said with a sad smile,"If you want to use the bathroom, its the door on the left."
"Thanks," i said absent mindedly, still looking at her family potraits. One picture of a handsome looking man, not older than 25 years old, were hung next to her parents' wedding picture.
"Who's that?"
"That would be my brother," Hyo Rin from the kitchen.
"I didnt know that you have a brother," i said to her.
"We were just 2years apart," she explained,"Would you like to have some mayonnaise on your sandwich?"
"Yes, please," i said, joining her in the kitchen where she was preparing our supper. Tuna and chicken sandwiches.
"I couldnt buy anything else, so i just bought some bread and sandwich fillings," she said,"I hope you dont mind."
"Nah, its okay. I dont mind," i reassured her,"So, where is your brother now?"
She smiled,"I was trying to get off from that particular topic but since its your first time joining me, i'll try my best to tell you if im able to remember it."
"What do you mean?" I asked, failed to understand what she meant.
"My parents and my brother died. Three years ago," she explained,"I couldnt remember how because i woke up in the hospital about one week later. I was hit by a stray bullet on the side of my ribs, puncturing my lungs."
"The only thing i could remember was, the four of us were on a boat. Fishing. I remembered arguing with my brother about something but the rest were blurry. There were commotion that happened on the boat. I saw my dad shielding my mom and my brother pushed me into one small space at the end of the boat, forcing me to hide."
"The doctor said the incident traumatized me so much and i suffered an amnesia but the funny thing was, i could remember everything else, but not that incident."
"Were there someone else on the boat?" I asked.
"I dont know. I couldnt remember. There was a boat approaching us from far and i remembered my dad panicked," she said, with a shrug,"Whatever had happened, i couldnt remember the exact details. The police couldnt continue their investigation because i was the only sole survivor from the attack. But they hid my identity though because my dad was a lawyer who was working on a high profile case before he died. They assume the perpetrator might got something to do with the his case."
As i listened, i recalled back. I had came across with the news where a lawyer and two of his family members were murdered on their fishing trip a couple of years ago. They were shot at point blank, and their son was not found. But the traces of blood on the boat found out that their son had been shot as well and since his body wasnt found, they assumed that he had fell into the sea.
"I think you need to get some rest," Hyo Rin said finally,"I'll be off to the cemetery at sunrise."
"I've slept well, thanks to you. You should get some rest," i pointed that out,"You look tired."
"Honestly, i am tired. My butt felt numb," she said.
"Where you'll be sleeping? Since i'll be using your room," i asked her,"I wonder how your room looks like."
I got off from my seat and entered the hallway, and she nervously followed me from behind.
"My room is a bit crowded," she explained as the door creaked open and switching the lights on, it shone brightly. It was not even near a typical girl's room. Posters were normal and i had the feeling that, this room was during her teenage years. Several medals and trophies were arranged neatly on a bookshelf next to the bed.
"I didnt know that you took taekwando classes, and won! Wow," i said, impressed.
"That was long time ago," she explained,"I never get to use my skills as i grew older."
She smiled mischievously.
"Rest. Unless if you want to join me," She said and left the room. I turned off the light and switched on the night lamp, laid down on her bed and her ceiling were decorated with star shaped glow in the dark stickers. Staring at it made me felt sleepy, even though i had slept more than enough on our journey here. Eventually, i dozed off.
