Chapter XIV - Don't Cry Babe

(so....second update for the day and I have decided to do one more after this.  This chapter is dedicated to Lotte_xx because of the story 'Opposite of Average'.   It's such a great Narry story!!!  Enjoy chapter 14, darlings and chapter 15 will be up soon!!)

I awoke to a sound that was not my normal alarm clock.  I was puzzled and still groggy from sleep.  I looked for where the sound was coming from and then realized that it was my phone.  I looked at the alarm clock and it said 5:55am.  I looked to see who would be calling this early.  I smiled when his picture came up.

“Hello” I answered

“Good morning, babe” he said

“Good morning to you too.  But Harry, it’s almost 6 in the morning.  What are you doing up so early?”

“Well I decided that I wanted you to wake up to me and not your alarm clock.  So I set my alarm for 5:50 so I could call you before your alarm went off at six.”

I laughed at his logic but thanked him.

“Well” he started, “You better get ready.  I’ll call you later this afternoon.”

“Ok” I said “Thank you for waking me up, baby.  I’ll talk to you later then.”

“Bye”

“Bye, babe” he said and ended the conversation.  My alarm clock started beeping signaling that it was now 6.

Today was kind of boring at work.  I didn’t have very many things to do but found busy work to complete.  It was just about lunch time and my desk phone began to ring on line one signaling that Jennifer was calling.

“Hello, Jennifer.” I greeted.

“Hello Mr. Horan.  There is a Henry Sales on line two for you.  He said it was of an important matter.”

“Ok.  I’ll pick up the line.  Thank you Jennifer.”

I waited for a few moments trying to remember if I knew of a Henry Sales, but nothing came to mind.  I pick up the line.

“Niall Horan speaking” I said

“Hey baby.  Like my new identity?” he said and I knew immediately it was Harry.  We both laughed.

“I was confused for a bit, babe.  But yes, I do like the alias.”

“Yea, I figured that it was the best way to go about it.” Harry said and I agreed.

“Right so for the reason I called.” He began.  “I know that you have lunch with the boys on Mondays, but I am wondering if I can steal you away.  I have some news to talk to you about and I would rather do it face to face.” He said sounding slightly sad.  I paused for a moment not having good thoughts.

“Ok.” I replied “I will let them know I won’t be able to meet them.  Is everything alright, Harry?” I asked

“Yes, everything is fine.  I just want to talk with you.  I’ll pick you up out back of the building at 12.  Is that alright?”

“Yes.  See you in a little bit.”

“Bye Babe” he replied and ended the call.

To be honest I am very nervous about what he has to say.  The only thing going through my mind is that he discussed our relationship with his management and they decided that it’s better that we are not together.  Or maybe he is rethinking the relationship.  My head is flooded with bad thoughts right now.  I text the boys and let them know I can’t meet and at 12 and I make my way to the back entrance of the building and Harry is in his car waiting.
