Chapter XXXII - Double Date

(A/N --- Not much to say....Enjoy Chapter 32.....and the roller coaster that is Harry and Niall's relationship!!)

The weeks have been going by too quickly for my liking.  I can see Ava Belle growing each day.  Gemma and Ava get along famously and Ava loves every minute of it.  Gemma and Ava are growing a tight bond that even I’m getting jealous of.  They have their own inside jokes, pictures, memories and Gemma is able to give Ava something that I am not; a female perspective on life. 

Gemma and I have also built a strong relationship.  Sometimes she jokes and calls me boss to which I just raise an eyebrow and give her a disapproving look.  I know I pay her but I am not her boss.  She is now becoming one of my closest friends like the other boys.

On some Saturdays she even accompanies me and Ava to the park even though Saturdays and Sundays are technically her days off.  She says it because she doesn’t like being in Harry’s large house all alone and I get it. 

However, the media is beginning to think that she and I are dating which couldn’t be further from the truth.  Gemma and I get quite the laugh when we see or hear new stories about ‘Gemma Styles secretly dating her brother’s ex, Niall Horan.  Harry heartbroken from the betrayal.’

We do discuss Harry on occasion.  Ava always asks where he is and what he is doing and honestly I am not the person to answer her, Gemma is.  Harry and I haven’t seen each other or spoken to one another since that night in Tokyo about a month ago.

Harry is back in the UK touring and without fail still sends Ava a postcard from each city.  Luckily, Ava has seen Harry.  Gemma takes Ava over to Harry’s while they are together.  Gemma and Harry took Ava to the zoo just over a week ago and the pictures that I saw from that trip were precious.  I am glad that Ava still has Harry in her life.  Although sometimes I wish he was still in mine.

I’ve read that he is dating this twenty year old model named Sasha Wetherby, and apparently they are getting close fast.  I have seen pictures of them together and he does look happy, so of course I am a bit hurt.  Gemma tells me that Sasha is an idiot and an attention whore.  To say that Gemma doesn’t like Sasha would be the understatement of the year.  I know that she is probably constantly in Harry’s ear telling him that he is being stupid and knows that he should be with me, but I can’t keep dwelling on the past.  I can’t stay stuck on Harry if he is moving on.

I decided a couple weeks ago that I was going to put myself back out there.  I need to be happy too.  So I have been on a couple dates, but haven’t really made a connection with anyone yet.  But of course pictures of those dates have ended up being news.  I really don’t even pay attention to it anymore.  At least I don’t get it nearly one tenth as much as Harry does.

A couple days ago this very attractive guy who works for a company that Williams and Johnson does a lot of business with asked me out on a date for Friday night.  We had been in several of the same business meetings over the past few months and we have talked and I do enjoy his company so I accepted. 

Gemma said that she would watch Ava for me while I went out on my date, although she didn’t like that I was going out with someone other than her brother, but she understood.
