It was now Monday morning and I was eating breakfast by myself on the kitchen counter. My parents had returned home from their business trip last night which somewhat sucked because I liked being home alone but don't get me wrong, I love them to death.
I looked out the window to find it raining, wow the weather perfectly described my mood. I sighed and placed my dishes in the dishwasher and went upstairs to change for school. Because of the gloomy weather, I decided to wear black skinny jeans that had tears on the knees, white tank top with a long sleeve denim shirt and black shoes.
I checked the time on my phone and it read 7:45am, I also noticed that I had two new iMessages.

Austin
Good morning baby☺️

Ethan
Morning gorgeous, see you at school later😊

Huh. I quickly replied to both of them.

To Austin
Good morning, I'll text you once I'm out of school☺️

To Ethan
Morning Ethan! Haha I'll keep an eye out for you😊

After that I grabbed my bags and headed out to my car.
Don't you sometimes take the long way somewhere just so you can listen to music? Because that's exactly what I did that morning. I drove around because my Spotify playlist was absolute fire and because I just needed to clear my head.
It hasn't really hit me that Austin is leaving in like 4 days for awhile. As bad as it sounds I didn't want him to leave me, I'm not ready for him to leave me.

----------------------------------------------

"Hey Kat!" Sandra came up behind me while I was at my locker.

"Hey S!" I leaned against my locker. "What's up?"

"I was just thinking about Friday night and how much fun I had." She smiled.
Friday night was pretty chill but mostly fun and I knew that Sandra was crushing on one of the football guys.

"I know, Friday was so much fun!" I agreed.

"Well I'm glad you said that," Ethan came from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Hey Ethan." I turned around to give him a hug and he gave me a peck on the cheek. "And why are you glad I said that?"

"Because I was planning on inviting you again this Friday." He smirked.

"Depends if I'm not doing anything that day." I giggled. "But I'll think about it."

"You better. Anyways, I'll see you girls later." He walked back to his circle of friends.

"What?" I asked Sandra once I noticed she was looking at me funny.

"That did not just happen." She looked shocked.

"What?" I asked still confused.

"Football players ask a different girl out every Friday. They never take the same girl out twice unless they're dating!" Sandra said.

"Gee thanks S for making me feel like a side piece." I laughed as we walked to first period.

"Awh come on Kat I didn't mean it like that. It's just odd to see at this school." She put her arm around my shoulders. "Get use to it because once word gets around, everyone's going to be talking about it."

And boy was she right. While I was at my locker people would just stare and whisper, even some cheerleaders came up to me to ask if it was true. I didn't have this type of attention back home.

"So word is I'm taking the same girl out this Friday, is it true?" Ethan came up to my locker.

"Wow, word travels fast." I chuckled closing my locker.

"But is the word correct?" Ethan placed a hand on the wall behind me and was now leaning over me.

"I have yet to decide, but I'll let you know." I grew closer to him and just as our faces were millimeters apart I turned to walk away.

"You know you're lucky you're cute!" Ethan shouted behind me.

I looked back and threw him a wink.

Austin's POV

4 days. I'm leaving Miami in 4 days. I'm leaving my mom in 4 days. I'm leaving my boys in 4 days. I'm leaving Kat in 4 days.

"Austin get packing!" My mom shouted from the kitchen. "You're going to be incredibly busy this week and you're not going to have time." She was now by my door.

I groaned and rolled into my stomach on my bed.

"Honey what's wrong?" She sat next to me. "I would have thought that you would be excited for LA, not all mopey."

"I can't leave right now." I mumbled, my face still buried in my bed.

"And why is that?" She sounded concerned.

"Mom I can't just leave Kat like that." I sat up on my bed. "We're doing so good and to just leave doesn't feel right."

"Awh baby." She pulled me into a hug. "You do love her."

I froze at the sound of those words. Did I actually love her?
"Mom we aren't even dating, how can I love her?" I pulled away.

"You don't have to be dating to be in love." She shrugged. "Anyways, if she loves you as much as you love her, she'll be waiting for you once you get home."

"Thanks mom." I somehow felt a tad better.

"I'm so proud of you Austin, I raised you right." She loving stared at me.

"Thanks mom." I gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Alright now start packing!" She threw a pillow at me before walking out.
