"Is your mom gonna freak when she sees me here?" Austin asked me as we exited my room.

"Probably, probably not." I shrugged. "It depends what mood she's in."

"Let's just hope she's in a good one." he mumbled.

"Relax Austin." I teased as we reached the bottom of the staircase. "When we go in there," I pointed to the kitchen. "Just greet her and be your charming self." I winked.

"Alright I can do this, I won you over so I can win over your mom as easy."

"Did you just call me easy?" I scoffed.

His eyes widened. "I didn't mean it like that."

"Didn't sound like it." I rolled my eyes.

"I mean it. Sorry of it came out wrong." he sighed.

"Yeah." I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Don't be like that." he lifted my chin so we made eye contact. "Come here." he softly said and leaned in to kiss me.

I tried so hard to not kiss him back but it was too hard and eventually I had to gave in and kiss him back. "You're lucky you're cute." I pulled back a few centimeters.

"I know I am." he chuckled. "Forgive me?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah. "

"Good." he kissed my forehead. "Now let's go meet Mom."

"Alright." I laughed. "Mom?" I called out loud.

"Yeah in here!" she yelled back from the kitchen. "Hey how was school sweetie?" she asked me without looking up.

"Um yeah it was good." I sat down on the stool and I motioned Austin to do the same. "I started volleyball practice today."

"Oh really? Honey that's great!" My mom said as she finally looked up. "Oh honey who is this?" she finally acknowledged Austin's presence.

"Mom this is my really good friend Austin." I said emphasizing the word really. "Austin this is my mom Tracy."

"Hello Mrs. Smith, its nice to meet you." Austin extended his arm so my mother could shake it.

"Oh forget that and come here!" she chirped as she stood up and walked up to Austin.

"Oh did I forget to mention that my mom's a hugger." I chuckled.

"I don't mind." Austin laughed.

"Love you are the handsomest thing." my mom said as she returned back to her seat.

"Thank you." Austin gave her a big smile.

"She doesn't even complement me like that." I pouted.

"That's why you have me beautiful." Austin winked at me and placed his hand on my thigh.

"Kat are you guys dating?" my mom asked. Her eyes looked like they were about to pop out.

And all of a sudden as if on cue, the door bell rung. "Um I think those are our friends." I pulled Austin by the hand and dragged him into the living room. "Well wasn't that awkward."

"I didn't think it was." Austin laughed. "I like your mom and I think she likes me." he smirked.

"I should go answer the door." I stammered. We wernt about to have this conversation. I went to go answer the door and sure enough it was them. "Babes!" I yelled and hugged my girls.

"What about us?" I heard Zach say. "I am hurt."

"Austin's inside." I laughed. "Come on let's go inside."
