It was now Thursday afternoon and we had our first game tonight. After Ethan had driven me home Tuesday night we had somewhat gotten closer. Of course I told him about Austin and he was okay with it, he claimed that he just wanted to be friends. As of Austin, I've seen less of him lately because he's been working hard on his album. Sadly he won't be able to attend my game tonight, I wasn't mad or upset at him because I understood where he was coming from. He can't just drop everything to be with me, music was his top priority right now.

After the final bell rang I went to my locker to put the homework that I had finished during my free hour away.

"Good luck tonight." Cam came over to his locker.

"Thanks Cam! I'm really nervous for tonight." I put my books away.

"Don't be. The girls and us guys are going to be there so don't worry." Cam locked his locker. "Anyways, I'll see you tonight."

"Bye Cam." I said before he walked away to meet up with Alysa.

"You ready for tonight?!?" Sandra and Tina came up from behind me.

"Hell yeah!" I shouted closing my locker.

"So before every game, the team has like a team bonding day and it so happens that the captain has it at her house." Tina nudged at me.

"And," Sandra continued. "My parents have friends over tonight but luckily, I'm not the only captain on the team."

"So what you're saying is that I have to host about 12 girls at my house tonight?" I leaned up against the lockers. "Well what kind of co-captain would I be if I broke tradition?"

Sandra and Tina squealed. "Looks like Coach made the right decision with you Kat!"

"Yeah come on," They each took ahold of both of my arms. "Let's go find the other girls and we'll start bonding!"

We found the rest of the team in the gym flirting with the football boys, of course. And after I told them the news about having team bonding at my house they all said goodbye to their guys and followed me to my car. I took 6 of the girls in my car and Sandra followed behind me in hers with the rest of the team.

"Oh my gosh Kat!" Sandra gaped as we had arrived at my house.

"What?" I asked confused as I unlocked my front door.

"Your house beautiful." Tina admired the inside.

"Hey thanks." I set my car keys on the counter. "So, what usually happens during team bonding?"

"Well," Molly stated. "We usually get to know the newbies first and then we mainly just gossip."

"Sounds perfect actually." I chuckled. "Make yourselves at home girls."

We had all sat down in my living room and were ready to start "bonding".

"So Miss Katherine," Shelly spoke up. "Tell us about your wonderful self."

"Well as you all know, my name is Katherine and I'm turning 17 next week actually and I moved here from Nevada." I sighed. Being the new kid has me repeating my life story every day.

"Woah woah slow down cowgirl." Sandra interrupted. "You're barley turning 17 and you're a senior? This can't be right."

"It actually can be right." I chuckled. "See when I was going into kinder, the principal suggested that I was too bright to be in kinder so they let me skip it."

"Wow that's so cool." Lisa piped in from the other couch.

"So as I was saying, I've been playing volleyball since I was 10 and most of my summers I spend them at sports camp. I'm also a competitive cheerleader and a gymnast but I dropped gymnastics last summer so I could focus on volleyball during the fall and competing the rest of the year." I finished.
