In a world, where the weak and the different are tossed aside into a run down, crime-filled, bloody town. If anyone there manages to survive for three months, they are taken aside a dozen a month by the Moderators.
And never seen again.
No one knows what happens to them, except the top level Moderators.
'What happens if someone tries to escape?' you may ask.
If they successfully pass the guards and get outside the walls, they are free.
No one has ever survived outside the town for more than three days, as far as anyone knows.
One day, as the Moderators knew it would eventually, a disaster of some kind strikes. The Moderators abandon the weak, leaving them all to die.
What would become to anyone inside?
Or perhaps, what would come to a girl who could not see?
