Unlucky

"Oh my gosh! What happened to you, [Nickname]-chan?!"

[Name] turned around to face the concerned countenance of her best friend, Takao Kazunari. He gasped in shock when he saw her face. She sat down at the desk next to him while grabbing a delicious morsel from his bento. "I... I honestly don't know what's happening, Kazu-kun," she admitted.

For some unknown reason, the world seemed to be against her today. It all started when she woke up and learned that the power had gone out during the night. Apparently, her alarm clock had reset itself. This meant that it didn't ring when it was supposed to. No ring equals a very late [Name].

After doing everything she needed to do in record time, she ran down the sidewalk. During her run she had to run past a street with all kinds of small stores with apartments on top of it. An old lady happened to be cleaning out her dead potted plants next to her window. Something went wrong and the dirt from her plants went flying out the window. [Name] had the fortune to be right underneath that window when the dirt was falling.

At the same time, a truck went flying by the road. It had been raining for the past couple of days, so it sprayed a fountain of water onto her. The dirt on her head turned into mud as the white shirt she was wearing turned translucent. She blushed and wrapped her blazer, which was smaller because of a careless error, around her tighter.

By the time she got to school, she had just realized that one of her shoes had fallen off. She cursed the gods and ran towards her locker. She opened it. Her indoor shoes had been trashed to the point that she knew that wearing them would be worse than walking with only socks on. There was a note telling her to stay away from [Boy's Name], which confused her because she had never even talked to the guy. She groaned as she remembered that the person who had the locker next to her was dating [Boy's Name]. These spiteful fangirls must've accidently broke into the wrong locker.

[Name] ran to her classroom, 1-A. She could hear the teacher's voice from behind the door. With all the courage she had, she opened the door. There was an instant silence. The teacher looked at her with disapproving eyes. "[Last Name]-san, it's so great that you could finally grace us with your presence," she said, causing the immature people in the class to giggle. [Name] looked down to the floor. "I'm sorry, Sensei," she mumbled. The teacher pointed towards her seat. [Name] rushed over to it and tried to make herself as small as possible.

The rest of time went mostly well. The real problem that happened was when one of her other teachers noticed her lack of shoes and yelled at her for it. Some of the students were hunched over their desks trying to stop their laughter. [Name] was so embarrassed that she almost cried. When lunch finally came around, she immediately went to Class 1-B. There was no need for her to bring her bento because she had left it at home.

"And... that's it, I guess," she said. Takao was patting her back in sympathy. She rubbed her eyes to try to get rid of her unshed tears. "Why is this happening to me? I didn't do anything wrong! Maybe fate is punishing me because I let you copy off of my notes!" she exclaimed. Takao stopped patting her back. "I'm trying to comfort you here and you blame me for your problems! That's not fair, [Nickname]-chan!" She shrugged and laid her head on the desk. "I'm so hungry, Kazu-kun. Let me eat some more, please?" she pleaded. He slapped her hand away when she tried to grab another piece of his lunch. She groaned loudly.

A couple minutes went by with [Name] trying to get some of his food and Takao slapping her hand away. She finally said that she was giving up by flopping her upper body onto the desk. The boy sighed as he put his finished lunch into his bag. "You know, your sign might just be unlucky today. You should ask Shin-chan what your lucky item is today. That might help you survive. Plus, it'll give him an excuse to actually talk to you," he said. She cocked her head in consideration and nodded. "Okay, yeah. That makes sense. I'll do that between classes next time. See you later, Kazu-kun!" she exclaimed while standing up and walking out the door.

Suddenly, water splattered onto her. Two girls gasped as [Name] stood there wide-eyed. They started to sputter out apologies. These apologies fell upon onto deaf ears. [Name] had enough of the water on her clothes and the mud that she still had on her hair because there wasn't any time for her to wash it off. She stomped off towards the girl's locker room.

Of course, [Name] still had the bad omen following her. Someone who seemed to be on the rugby team ran into her, causing her nose to bleed. He didn't even say sorry to her. She slipped on a forlorn handkerchief. This made her butt sore. Her locker refused to open until she finally pulled it so hard that it slammed into the side of her head. The only shower that would work had only two settings on it: freezing cold and molten lava.

The rest of her time spent in the locker room could be called pleasant. Her towel wasn't ripped up and most of the dirt on her hair washed away. Her extra clothes that she stuffed in the small locker wasn't ripped up by some crazy fangirl.

"Oi, [Last Name]. Hurry up there. You don't want to be late for another class," a voice said from the other side of the door. She quickened her pace up. In what seemed to be record time, she bolted out and met with a sturdy chest. She looked up to find a mop of green hair. "Oh, hey Midorima. What's up?"

Instead of replying to her greeting, he grabbed her wrist rather harshly and started to drag her down the hall. "Hey! What's the big idea?" Again, Midorima ignored her statement and kept on dragging her. She pulled her arm back. He stopped and looked at her with an upset expression. "Just because mother nature has bullied me ever since this morning doesn't mean I lost the ability to walk," she said harshly. She gripped her arm that he touched to her chest.

Something sparked in his eyes as he walked towards her. An unsettling feeling settled in her stomach. He reached forward and touched the side of her head. [Name] hissed as he touched the sore area. "Watch it, asshole. I just got it thirty minutes ago," she growled. He took her hand gently. "Calm down, [Last Name]." She scoffed.

"Are you really asking me to calm down? How can I calm down when I know that these bad things are happening to me? How can I calm down when I know that I will get injured in the near future? It's been getting worse and worse... Damn! I might even die-" She was cut off by a hand going on her lips. She tried to pry it off, but he was stronger than her.

Midorima sighed as he pulled his hand back from her mouth. "I-I'm not going to let you die," he said, the faintest trace of a blush on his cheeks. She could feel her cheeks start to warm up as well. She felt something on the hand that he was grabbing. It was a green pen. "Oha Asa said that this is your lucky item for the day," he explained, "You won't get hurt anymore."

She stared at the pen in her hand. It didn't look lucky or magical. "Um, if you say so..." There was an awkward silence after she said this. Instead of saying a goodbye or just bolting out of there, [Name] did what she thought was most suitable: kissing his cheek.

"Thank you for everything! See you soon!" She power walked down the hallway with her hands on her face trying to hide the obvious blush on her face. She gripped the pen.

[Name] really did feel a little luckier now.

Currently taking the first three requests!

I'm only accepting them if they never had a oneshot made for them or only have one oneshot made for them as of right now.

I can't make another Murasakibara or Kasamatsu one even though I REALLY WANT TO

Don't expect me to get them done very quickly. There's the girl swim season, solos for choir, and learning the organs of the cat's body and human's body.

So yea. Spring is very busy.
