Short

[Name] hated being short just as much as her boyfriend, Murasakibara, hated to lose. It was a something that she was constantly teased about. Honestly, she could usually handle it. The one thing that made it a problem for her was that god awful nickname.

Chibi-chin.

It was like a virus. As soon as one person uttered the nickname, the whole class started to talk about her. It ranged from various topics. How "kawaii" she was, to how short she was, to why Murasakibara would want to date her, to how sex would be like when he sticks his- Well, that one doesn't need to be finished.

"Ohayo, Chibi-chin."

She looked up from her desk, pouting at the person. "Atsushi, don't call me that," [Name] exclaimed. It was hard to hear herself over all the people talking about her. He handed her a stick of pocky. "But it's cute and it suits you," he said. She gladly took the stick and put it in her mouth. "Just don't do it again. It's been a stressful day. I think I failed a test today, and someone elbowed my face when I was on the subway! I almost broke my nose," she started. She was about to add more complaints, but the look on his face told her that doing so would be a bad idea. "B-But don't worry! I didn't get hurt." He patted her head. "Good. I was about to crush someone," he stated. She laughed awkwardly. There was no doubt in her mind that he wouldn't do it.

Her eyes traveled up to the clock. "Ah, you should go. Homeroom is almost over," she said. Murasakibara nodded and leaned down to her height. "I love you, Chibi-chin," he said, a fond look on his face. She grimaced slightly but gave him a look with as much affection as he had. "I love you too, Atsushi." He kissed her nose, put a snack on her head, and walked away. She watched his broad figure until he was out of sight.

Just as she was about to take the snack off of her head, another hand took it away. High pitched laughter was followed by afterward. She groaned. "[Girl's Last Name]-san, please give me my snack back," she pleaded. The girl laughed and tossed the snack in the air. "Only if you can take it out of my hands, Chibi-chin," she said in a singsong voice. Other students around her laughed. With a bright red face, [Name] reluctantly got out of her chair and tried to swipe it out of her hands. Of course, it failed because [Girl's Name] was much taller than she was.

[Name] felt humiliated. She was only doing this because her boyfriend had given the treat to her. Even though their love was one of the strongest in the school, he only gave snacks to her when there was a special occasion or when she was feeling extremely distressed. As silly as it seemed, that snack was something that she needed to eat.

The students around her erupted into full blown laughter. "Wow, I don't even have to try to raise this up," [Girl's Name] jeered,"Chibi-chin is so short that it's kinda pathetic." Hot tears started to well up in her eyes. [Name] kicked as hard as she could at [Girl's Name]'s right leg. When the girl fell down to nurse her leg, [Name] took the opportunity to take her snack back. Holding it to her chest, she sat back down on her chair.

The room was silent when the teacher came in. He looked around the room and saw [Girl's Name] on the floor crying. His face turned bright red in anger. "Who would do such a thing to [Girl's Name]?" he asked. The whole class looked at each other before one of [Girl's Name] friends spoke up. "It was [Last Name]-san! She was trying to steal [Girl's Name]'s snack!" [Name]'s face looked as white as a ghost as soon as she said that.

The teacher stalked up to [Name]. "I want you in the hallway, right now," he growled out,"No one does this to one of my best students and gets away with it." [Name] sputtered, trying to tell him that she was trying to take her snack back from [Girl's Name]. "No excuses. I want you out of here now!" he bellowed. She hung her head down low and walked outside, dropping the snack on her way out.
