Dreaming
[Name] looked around her. The ground beneath her was white and wispy. She touched it and the particles scattered away from her hand. Looking up, all she could see were pastel colors swimming around each other. She pinched her exposed arm. "I'm dreaming," she stated.
Getting up off of the ground, she walked around the area. It didn't contain anything. She guessed that she was the only thing - or at least person - here. She frowned. "Well, this isn't much of a lucid dream," she muttered.
Suddenly, a loud sound echoed throughout the area. [Name]'s heart skipped beats as she frantically searched for the source of the sound. A mop of light blue hair caught her eye. She quickly ran towards it.
"Kuroko-san?"
The male was sitting on the ground. He looked dizzy. Slowly, he looked up at her. "Konnichiwa, [Last Name]-san," he said. He stood up, wobbled around, and felt right back down. "Gomen. I don't think I can walk right now."
"Um, it's alright, Kuroko-san," she said while sitting down, "I'll just sit down down with you." A puff of white particles flew around them as she sat down next to him. This brought the two into a comfortable silence.
She drew doodles into the ground. It was fun to see the puffs that she could make with just her movement. After a while, she finally spoke up. "So, are you actually dreaming the same thing or are you just a figment of my imagination?" she asked. He shrugged. "I only know what you know, so I would guess so," he stated. She nodded slowly.
"So... How has your day been?" [Name]asked. The silence was starting to be uncomfortable. She wished for the sounds of the ever-so-familiar hustle and bustle of Tokyo traffic. At least she would have something to comment on.
Kuroko shrugged. "I wouldn't know, [Last Name]-san. We don't talk very often in real life." She made a little "oh" sound. She tucked her hands into her pockets.
She took a quick peek a Kuroko. Sure, he was a figment of her imagination. But she had to give it to her imagination, he was almost a copy of the original. The only place that seemed to be a little bit wonky was the top of his head. Being shorter than him didn't give her a lot of opportunities to see his hair styles.
As time went on, she noticed that he started to become more paler. "Are you alright, Kuroko-san?" she asked. He stared blankly into her eyes. "I... I don't know, [Last Name-san]. I feel very weird." She brought her hand onto his forehead. Her eyes widened significantly. "You're burning up!" she exclaimed.
Kuroko shrugged in a flippant manner. "I don't think it really matters. It's not like I'm really sick-" He stopped mid-sentence. [Name] looked at him expectantly. He blinked a couple times before looking up at her.
"Gomen, [Last Name]-san. I'm going to faint right now."
Just as she was about to say another word, he slumped on the ground. She reached for his body. Just as she touched him, the area around her started to fade away. She cursed slightly. Her dreams had always been on the short side.
(...)
Her eyes opened as [Name] automatically reached for the snooze button. She stopped her hand right before touching it. "It's Saturday...," she said aloud.
She got off of the bed. Now that she was awake, there was no way that she was going back to sleep. Taking her phone with her, she went to the bathroom. She noticed that someone had called her while she was seeing. [Name]'s heart beat faster when she saw who had called her.
Kuroko
One Missed Call
Nervously, she brought the phone up to her ear. It rang for sometime.
"Ohayo, [Last Na-]." He cut himself off with a sneeze. "Gomen," he said hoarsely. Without seeing his face, she knew he was sick. "I guess I'm pretty good at predicting things with my dreams!" she thought.
"I noticed that you called me," she said. He coughed away from the phone. "Sumimasen, I won't be able to go shopping for our project supplies," he stated. "It's alright, Kuroko-san! I understand if you're sick."
Kuroko was quiet for a while. "I forgot that you can't see me nodding," he stated. [Name] giggled as his mistake. "It's alright. It happens to the best of us. I hope you get better! Is your okaasan taking care of you?"
"Ah... No."
"What?! Give me your address! I'll take care of you!"
"You don't need to do that, [Last Name]-san. I can-"
"Don't lie to me. How are you going to make food?"
"Instant ramen."
"That's not healthy, baka!"
"Please, don't worry, [Last Name]-san."
"I can't help it! I like you!"
Both sides of the line went silent as they processed what [Name] had said. The toothbrush in her hand fell down to the ground. Her face felt like it was on fire. "I-I mean-"
"Okay."
She stopped sputtering for a second. "Okay? What do you mean?" she asked.
"I'll text you my address" he stated. She blinked for what felt like a couple of minutes. "Why did you suddenly change your mind?" she questioned. She didn't know how, but she could tell that he was smiling.
"Aren't girlfriends suppose to take care of their boyfriends when they're sick?"
