Steve smiled into the darkness, Aislinn's lips soft and teasing as she trailed them down over his stomach. Her hair, that silken mass of ebony, spilled across his leg, the muscle in his thigh tightened when she kissed along his hipbone.
"Oh, baby..." He couldn't get his voice above a breathless whisper, his head spinning from her attentions.
She lifted her head, her eyes glittering in the semi-darkness. "What?"
"I want you."
"Already?"
He nodded. "You're surprised by that? Have we met?"
Her laugh came warm against his skin. "Very well..."
"I--oh.... yes..." He sucked in a hard breath as she shifted astride him and he slid inside her. As she rocked against him, he swallowed hard. "Damn, Ash... You're going to make me embarrass myself."
"How?"
He winked. "I haven't come this fast since I was fourteen..."
"Steve!"
"You feel... holy Christ, you feel good."
She smiled, moving faster. "Oh, you do, too, Stevie..."
"Don't--" He clenched his teeth as the need for release swelled and tightened inside him at the same time. "Don't call me... that..."
She didn't answer, but began moving faster. Holy hell... he wasn't going to last much longer... She tightened about him, moaning softly when he lifted his hips to meet her. Fire shot through him and he groaned again as he thrust once more, harder this time.
"Oh, Steve... I--oh... ow!" Her face twisted into a grimace as she clutched her lower belly. "Oh... oh, gods..."
He went still. "Ash? Honey, you okay?"
She collapsed against him, whimpering, "I--I don't.. oh... owwww..."
"Aislinn?" As carefully as he could, he withdrew, wincing as she let out another cry and toppled over onto the bed beside him. She trembled, fighting to breathe through clenched teeth and when he touched her shoulder, she stiffened.
"Honey, what's the matter?"
"I think you--you hit something..." she managed, her voice reedy with pain. "Oh, gods... I'm cramping..."
"I'm sorry, baby." He reached down to smooth her hair away from her sweaty forehead. "Honey?"
"I'll be--OH!"
Her cry reverberated off the walls as she curled into the fetal position. As she moved, Steve stared down at the sheet, the blood draining from his face. "Ash, honey? You're bleeding."
He sat up and reached for the light, switching it on. Light flooded the room, his stomach lurching at the sight. Blood smeared him. Smeared the sheet.
Smeared the insides of her thighs.
She pressed her lips together and squeezed her eyes shut. "Please get Kyra..."
"Yeah, of course." He kicked the covers off his feet and bolted up from the bed. "You're going to be okay?"
A muscle bulged in her jaw even as she nodded and gritted, "I will. But hurry. Please."
He jumped into his boxer briefs and jeans. "I'll be right back."
Another nod and he hurried downstairs, not bothering with a shirt or shoes and only feeling a little odd as he said, "Heimdall? Open the bridge, please."
