Jay placed her finger on the ancient text. The chapter was about wing types. The text said:
"The ten tribes of winged humans have lived on since the world was born. There is a prophecy that will take place in 2016. Five humans with the power to rule will rise to save the Earth from the pit of destruction."
She was dumbstruck. All the information raced through her mind. Why didn't her dad tell her about all the tribes? There was a prophecy?
"The ten tribes are: Nightwings, Brightwings, Thunderwings, Bloodwings, Leafwings, Birdwings, Metalwings, Waterwings, Lightwings, and the legendary Rainbowwings."
She closed the book slowly, marveling at her new knowledge. She slid the book into her bag, grabbing a Warriors book along the way. She checked the book out, but not checking out the book about wings. Jay left after that, rushing to her house.
She arrived at her house, going upstairs right away. She got to her room, dumping her bag on the floor and digging out the wings book. She sat at her desk and placed the book at the center of it.
"Jay, I'm home!"
She felt the cover of the book, then went downstairs to see her dad.
"Hey, Dad. How was work?" He shrugged slightly. "It was... eventful. Jerry almost broke all the glass statues he got so mad at the coworkers." He chuckled.
Jay smiled. There was a knock on the door. Her dad opened it.
"Hey, Jay. I have to talk to you," Max said.
