You see, this did happen a lot. Jay's dad having a dream. Normal, right? Absolutely not. Nothing about this house was in the slightest normal. Jay's family is a magic family.
When I say magic, I bet your thinking Hogwarts. If you aren't... well you are partially right. But now isn't the time for stories.
Jay sat her pencil down as she finished her journal entry. She leaned back in her chair and sighed. Her family wasn't normal, that's for sure. It seemed life lacked sense for her.
"Why?"
She shoved her journal aside and slammed her head against the wood. It somewhat hurt, but not enough for her to care. It did, however, make enough noise to send her dad upstairs to peek into Jay's room to see if she was alright.
"Jay? You okay?" He asked anxiously as the door creaked slightly. "Fine, Dad. Just fine." She replied through clenched teeth.
"Are you sure? You seem a litt-" he was cut off when Jay stood, glaring, at him.
"You don't understand. You will never understand!"
The red square where she hit her head against the desk seemed to be flaring. Her hands glowed a bright blue.
"H-hey kiddo, calm down!" His mind was racing. If she used her magic here, the house would surely combust. "I won't lose Jay," he thought. "Not like I lost her."
Jay's magic was growing quickly. She raised her hands and sent her whole desk flying across the room. Her dad jumped, using his magic to hold him up. The light blue aura around him seemed to upset Jay.
Jay raised her arms again this time flinging her dad out the door and down the stairs.
